The location was convenient to shopping, food and Historic Downtown. The rooms were clean but only provided one pillow which was flat as the floor. Did not get any rest as I could not get comfortable. No other pillows were available when asked. Housekeeping started knocking at 9am, which check out is at 11am. Way too early to be bothering people who did not ask for a wake up call. If you do stay here bring your own pillows. read more

Motel 6 - The beds - Hotels Near Me - Waxahachie, Texas

Everything. "Nick" the gentleman who runs the facility is not only rude, unaccommodating and the opposite of hospitable is definitely not in the proper career field. I've stayed many places in many hotels/motels alike. This is by far the worst place I've endured. The grounds are not kept to start. There is trash spread throughout the parking lot as if there is no maintenance. Upon checkin, The rooms, while barren is too be expected with an motel, however the floors were unswept and definitely unmopped. The sheets were stained, the towels were dirty as if something had splashed on them. The tub had hair from the previous occupant(s), the fridge was rusted out and only half the lights in the room worked. The pool was like warm which again, too be expected in the area. I had a package that was delivered in my name with my room number on it and it was denied by Nick. While the package was important, there was no mention to me of the delivery. I had to find out on my own and inquire and then read given the response "just call the man and he will let you know what to do" the to do was to retrieve my package from the front desk. Extremely irritating. The following morning I went to eat my own breakfast and grab a coffee from the front desk and was met by Nick again and day old coffee, no tea or hot water. When I asked him if he wouldn't mind putting on a pot, he told me it was after 10am. Apparently they only make coffee until 10am?? It's literally HOT WATER. SMH He went on further to say, "You were told at check in we only have this setup from 6-10am." Mind you, if you notice in the pic, there was NOBODY around and no one was busy with maintenance (obviously) so there should have been no reason to not accommodate the guests, right? I explained i was not this that at check in, abs met with his response, "That's your fault not mine" Wow! So much for that Texas hospitality. I guess that doesn't apply to him. All in all, Nick the presumed owner, was unprofessional, rude, unaccommodating, unclean, unkept and definitely needs some hospitality training if he plans on being successful others he's doing a great job and killing it at being a slumlord. I would NOT recommend this establishment for anyone and would rather pay the additional elsewhere or even tent camp in preference to this place again. They have false advertisement. The website says 18 with a valid ID. They would not let my 18 year old who went there for work check in. Instead he had to sleep in a car. Motel 6 should be ashamed of themselves and better watch out for future lawsuits read more

It's Texas and I've been in and out a lot Close to hospital No shampoo Staff was okay but not Texas Quiet stay for our visit of purpose I did check for bed bugs and couldn't find any but again I have bites but can't tell if or mosquitoes it's one on arm not three in row so I duno Son does not have any marks on him Over all for price and purpose of visit okay. We stayed here because everything else was booked. The room was run down, sparse funiture. The tub was stained, the toilet was stained. The beds were almost like army cots. The refrigerator froze our water bottles and the TV was small. Found numerous bugs also but thankfully no bed bugs. We had to ask for shampoo and it was pretty lean in towels. At least the sheets and towels were clean. Ext time we will go further out of town. Also it was $125 a night to add insult to injury. read more

My three year old daughter had to go to the bathroom and they said there's was out of order. I asked about if they had a guest room bathroom she could use and they asked me if I was going to pay for it. Seriously?! I have a little kid that is going to pee in her pants. Do not stay here! Office attendants do not answer the phone.. I called 3 times from the room phone and they didn't answer and would only answer when I called from my cell phone. I called because I killed 4 roaches. Attendant told me he would send room service in 5 min... an hour later nothing.. he came after I called a second time to only come look and leave again. After an hour I called the front office to ask for a refund.. the lady told me "ma'am you checked in yesterday, why are you telling me today" .. really!! As if I wouldn't have called if I saw the roaches the night before.. and I had checked in at midnight!! And was gone all day! Overall dirty and rude service.. the guy attendant is absolutely no help!! Do not stay there! Pay a lol more not worth any discount! If I can give it zero starts I would!! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My family and I travel 75% of the year for work, and this has to be the WORST hotel we have ever stayed in. Druggies sleeping in the laundry room, people fighting at all hours of the night, cops in the parking lot, ripped and stained bedding with cigarette holes. We booked a non-smoking room, but it had very clearly been smoked in before. It is not safe, clean, or friendly here, DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL. We booked this hotel because it was relatively inexpensive and we had to bring our dogs with us while working here for several weeks. We have two older, well behaved dogs. We were reprimanded and YELLED at for the dog hair, even though we booked a pet friendly room. I find it hard to believe that the dog hair is such a problem, when the bedding provided to us at check in had rips, stains, and cigarette holes burnt into it. In addition to being reprimanded for the dog hair, we were YELLED AT for not getting the room cleaned often enough. We left the hotel to get the dogs groomed. We were gone for 4 hours, told housekeeping before we left, and the room still wasn't clean. Then the front desk lady gets mad because we don't get the room cleaned every other day? We tried! I have never dealt with such rude employees in my life. If you want to be yelled at and treated like less than dirt, book a room here! read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. RUDEST STAFF i'veE EVER EXPERIENCED. We made reservations 20 days in advance because on hotels.com the ratings are ok. It's close to the Scarborough Renaissance festival. We called the morning of since we're driving from far away and asked about early check in. The guy on the phone was like sure no problem you can check in at 1pm (check in is usually 3pm). We're traveling as a party 7 people total so 2 rooms but only needed one as early check in. (so we can get in costume and go) we call later in the day since one of our cars is ahead and a lady at the front desk absolutely rips out early party new one voice raised asked why they didn't read the details upon purchasing etc etc. I'm pretty diplomatic so I figure I can talk to her when we get there and sort out the miscommunication. Apparently this one is the manager and spends 20m yelling at me in the lobby before I can even ask her anything. Literally yelling and when I told her that her voice and tone was kind of loud I hadn't even been able to talk to her or explain what I was asking it got even worse so we just canceled the rooms it was the absolute WORST experience Ive ever had and when I explained that we were canceling because of her attitude she told me "Well good luck finding anywhere else to stay tonight because everyone is booked but we wont have a problem filling your rooms." I have this on recording. We walked across the drive way to Motel 8 and we're not only able to book rolms but their staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Mrs Mary at the front desk was a saint. All that to say that Motel 6 was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. read more

On a positive note-the room was newly remodeled. Here's the bad stuff-the water temp was all over the place while taking a shower. I would have taken a bath instead except the tub was filthy. The fridge didn't work. read more

This place is nicer than the last Hilton I stayed in! I love the new look! The staff and other guests have been very welcoming and inclusive. We're currently on night 2 of 8 for our family of 4. We stayed in 2 other hotels on our way here from Indianapolis and this is by far the nicest of the 3. We are very pleased with our stay. read more

Look, it's a Motel 6. As those go, it was clean and the location felt very safe and well-kept. And they had fridges and microwaves in the rooms, which not all Motel 6s have after the Great Remodeling. I was quite pleased. The only problem is that they are on a one-way service road, which means you have to go way out of your way to get anywhere, but that's not their fault. Also, the desk clerk was quite courteous, and the wi-fi worked great. read more

This is the worst motel. The toilets don't work, the TVs are ancient and static-y, you can't even watch the tv without getting a headache. The guy at the front desk is a total tool. He is not helpful at all and has a miserable attitude. He wouldn't help with the wifi, then we noticed that there was no cover on the AC explaining what each dial meant, and when my dad mentioned to him that there was a hotel nearby for cheaper he told us to go to that hotel. What a prick! Then we pull back the covers to find a yellow stain on my sheets. I looked in the drawer and found another sheet, but I went to unfold it and saw that it had some hardened crusty yellow substance on it. DISGUSTING!!!!! If I knew how horrible this place was I would NEVER have come here. Reader beware! Make sure never to come spend the night here, you will be thoroughly disappointed. read more

Roach infested!!!!!!!!Roaches are so bad they're on the seal of the fridge. I had to sleep with the lights on!!!!!Asked for non smoking room, the room beside me was non smoking as well, however our room was filled with smoke! It was so bad my family and I caught headaches. Went to front desk twice, they did NOTHING but told me to continue to stuff my door with a towel. They did nothing to accommodate our stay! For the price, the room size was bigger than big name hotels where I've stayed. The refer was cold, the shower was hot, the bed was just the right softness, and it was quiet and clean. The place is well aged, and it is NOT a five star hotel, but it was a VERY comfortable and SAFE motel. We've stayed twice now. read more

$73 per night The owners / individuals running the establishment must not inspect the facilities and or don't care to keep a place in reasonable condition. Some routine cleaning and maintenance would help and the place would not be that bad. Looking at the other yelp post we stayed after the remodel, so it must have been worse than a dump according to what I read and seen via others yelp post. The room was on the second level, door to the bathroom did not close properly - door plunger was missing, there was visible staples on the door to hold it together. There was a small refrig and microwave - used the refrig which worked well, did not use the microwave. When we checked in the person on duty was not rude, but was not that friendly, the others on staff were very friendly. The stairwell and the area leading to the stairs had debris and something that had spilled, if they would take the initiative and pressure wash the concrete walk ways the place would look much better, a little bit of paint can do wonders. The parking was adequate and safe - no issues. The bed was soooooooooo very uncomfortable - woke up each night with a sore back, it's time for new beds , you know when someone says there is a hole in the bed ...... well that's what we had. The road in front of the hotel was a one way , not that big of a deal for us, but we did not mind seeing other parts of the town - first time to the area, but I can see for some being unappealing. Family and I would not stay here again - in my opinion a reasonable price for the accommodation would have been $35. Per night read more

The night clerk was awesome!! Friendly, he made me feel welcome!! He said he would try to fix the problem I am having with loud people. Sadly, the issue hasn't been resolved yet. The people in the room next to me have their TV up so loud it's like my TV is on in my room. It's after 10 pm on a Sunday and people are on the balcony partying since I arrived two hours ago. In front of my window, rude! My room is really clean, it could use pictures on the walls to make it more welcoming. Overall it's a decent room. I would probably give 4 stars if everyone would shut up so I can sleep!! I have to travel early in the morning, this is ridiculous!! Rude people!!!!! read more

We stayed here two nights, but the second was unexpected so we didn't have the same room both times. The first room was on the second floor facing away from the highway. The only complaint I have about this room is that the Internet signal sucked! The second room was on the first floor facing the highway where there were workers doing some kind of construction... Very noisy and prevented an afternoon nap. Both rooms looked as if they had been renovated somewhat recently, but the second room had stained blankets, pillows and towels. Also, the a/c in the second room was leaking onto the floor inside. The second night, we realized how thin the walls were - we could hear our neighbors partying half the night away. All in all, not a bad place. If you stay here though, get a room on the back side away from the highway noises. Also, the pool's water was actually hotter than bath water, but it was over 100 degrees both days. read more
