I attended the 2-week night…read moreclass (4 classes total) and was actually able to complete the course by class 3 because of how well everything was taught. Tevin was extremely thorough. He didn't just teach us how to make drinks -- he broke down how to properly run a bar, handle real-life bar scenarios, and navigate challenging situations professionally. The hands-on training and realistic examples really made a difference. He also made the class fun and engaging, which helped everything stick. I created my own study guide from the notes I took in class, and as long as you pay attention and take good notes, you will pass with no problem. One thing I really appreciated is that they allow you to come back as often as you like for additional practice. That shows they truly care about their students being confident and prepared, not just passing the test. 10/10 experience. I left feeling knowledgeable, confident, and ready to step behind a bar. Highly recommend! Great experience from start to finish!

I asked Tracy how many students were attending day, and her response was "Oh, 14-16 students!" This surprised me as the workshop was sold as a maximum of 8 students. Once everyone arrived, sure enough there was barely enough room to work, with everyone squeezed in a tight space. Her studio is located within a shared shop space, so there was lots of noise going on with a TV and chatter from the other tenants' businesses, which made it hard to hear instructions. She also didn't have enough tools and materials to accommodate 16 students, and only 1 assistant to help with the whole class. They ran out of balloons to help support the pumpkin structure, and we had to make do by scrunching up random plastic pieces and stuffing it in our pumpkins instead. I also had other students keep taking tools I needed to work on my pumpkin. We did our best to share, but it was not ideal at all. The crunch time came when we wanted to paint our pumpkins. Hubby went to the paint table, but it was full and Tracy told him there wasn't enough paint or containers. She gave him a dirty container and told him to go wash it off, but we didn't know where water was available either. Hubby raised his voice at this point on how this should have been prepared for us, the students who paid for the class. I looked up from my pumpkin at this point and asked Tracy, "Do we not have enough paint?" I repeated the question again, both times she did not answer. Hubby then brought up that the class was promoted as max 8 students but clearly she squeezed more in for a money grab. Tracy at this point snatched up his pumpkin, held it in her hands and said, "Fine, I can just give you a refund!" At this point, we had already driven an hour to the class and another hour or so making our pumpkins, so we were invested. Hubby backed off and apologized for his outburst. She returned his pumpkin, but would not stop jabbing him and commenting because he refused to have any further interaction with her after this. I had also apologized to her for the outburst just to keep the peace. I had to go around the paint table and ask other students to share the paint. We finally got our pumpkins painted and were told to come back in 4 weeks to collect them after they were fired. Well, we picked up our pumpkins this week and my pumpkin was super messed up. I had taken photos before we left, so you can see the before and after photos. From what I can tell, someone tried to core my pumpkin stem and did not bother putting the stem back properly and fired it as is, causing my pumpkin to collapse. I took photos and emailed Tracy. She cited "Terms and Conditions", and did not respond after I asked for a proper explanation for what actually happened to my pumpkin. We have taken lots of art classes, and this by far is the worst experience we have had with a teacher and studio. I would highly recommend to stay far, far away from this studio!

We love OCH so much. We found OCH through a friend after we made the tough decision to remove our…read morechildren from a daycare that was not providing the kind of care we were looking for. After joining OCH, I fell in love with the school and the care the teachers provide my kids. OCH is a smaller center and the teacher to student ratios are small which really allows the teachers to give the kids the love and attention they need throughout the day to feel welcome and regulated. OCH was recently re-certified as a 5 star center which goes beyond what I thought a daycare could provide! I love to see the creative way they teach the kids the weekly topics vs. worksheets or teacher curated crafts. They learn through play and the teachers work on social emotional learning and helping the kids learn how to regulate when they are upset. Additionally, it is a co-op daycare, meaning the parents have active involvement in the success of the school. We moved to the area in 2023, and I realized almost all of our friends are parents from the daycare. Listening to other parents talk yesterday about not having "mom friends," I mentioned all my mom friends are from our daycare and my friend replied: "that's because your daycare encourages parents to get to know each other! Mine is just drop him off, see you later." She's right - we have monthly get togethers with the other parents and kids and it's a great way to make new parent friends, which can be so hard these days. All of that is to say, we love OCH and I wouldn't consider sending my kids elsewhere.

The facilitator certainly knows how to bring excitement to a room of children, parents and seniors. She was a ray of sunshine despite the rain. My grandson has always enjoyed the groups conducted by Mrs. Usoro. Every one participated in the activities, singing along and having fun. What an ingenious idea to bring young children to the home of those that are so often at times participating in sedentary activities. This program will hopefully make the young aware of the need to interact with the elderly and the elderly will remember the times they spent with their children and grandchildren before age slowed them down. I can't wait to see what else Mrs. Usoro has in store for the upcoming sessions. Great job! PS. Thanks to Flame Broiler for providing food at the event.

In…read morepreparation for the first day of school, they hosted a "Chalk The Walk" event where we decorate the sidewalks with encouraging messages for the students. Principal Stokes was present along with other school staff. The event was nice and there wasn't many people when I got there as we got there at 2:40pm. However, it lasted longer than 3 PM. Principal Stokes cares about the students, along with the rest of the staff. I'm optimistic that this will be another great year!

Daryl made it interesting and out the info in easy to understand terms that you could apply as soon as you walk out the door. Out on the range, he took extra care to make sure everyone was safe. The less experienced folks were made to feel comfortable and more advanced shooters able to make tweaks to their technique. All around good experience. Had a fun time. They directed me where to park, they somehow managed to fit plenty of wrestlers into two gyms and made it work. A parent helped me log into the WiFi network within seconds. The school is very big and easy to move around. If I was lost, people pointed me in the right direction. I don't know if my job will take me back to Eastern, but I hope it does. Wildcats, if you see this, y'all are doing one amazing job at running events.
