It was a reasonable price. It was the perfect size for her to get through in two hours. She had a blast going from room to room playing in all the different themes. She loved the playground area for climbing and slides. She also loved the little camping area. The Kroger exhibit was quite a hit as well. I loved that she was learning about all the different trades and burning energy at the same time. I also loved the details they put into each station. The news reporting with the live broadcast and microphones were really fun. The working cash register experience at the Kroger experience was awesome. The black light area was a lot of fun too. I think I had as much fun as she did! Definitely recommend for anyone with a toddler and at least two hours to get through it.

Just because you don't know the nature of younger children, I think it's better to direct rules and everything to parents, so they can direct it to the child.

Highly suggest changing into a bathing suit and doing the approximate 2 mile hike to the falls. I came after a spotty storm and the trail was a little bit wet so it'd be good to bring some grippy shoes. There are a couple of stones and rocks and roots to wander through. It's definitely worth a trip and the three dollar parking fee charge since it's a national car unless you have a national park pass that you can leave on your dash the national Park pass is roughly 60 or $70 per year unless you're military or have a disability and you can get it for free. This place has loose security, young inexperienced staff, and weak rules and boundaries which makes it a hot zone for sexual predators and adults who fetishize children. Do NOT leave your kids here unattended. And watch them like hawks if you do go.

We always wear socks, per the rules, the bathroom is outside the facility, but still accessible, I would never leave, per the rules. He enjoys going there, workers are pleasant and rules are rules. This park is currently in flux due to a massive bridge project that has been under construction for…read moreyears. As such, the park access is not ideal, and the greenway trail running by the river is interrupted and requires a detour. The main section of park that is open has notable merits, including a fitness loop, a smaller pedestrian bridge, and athletic fields. I hope that eventually construction on both the bridge and park will finish and give way to a better facility, but it is a pleasant area.

Wasena Park is a big multipurpose park in a Roanoke subdivision called Wasena, and one of many that…read moreRoanoke River Greenway runs through (Smith Park is just to the east of Wasena Park). Roanoke River Greenway, in turn, is one of almost a dozen Roanoke Valley Greenways, and extends over many miles of paved trails. The park has several entry points along Wiley Drive SW with plenty of parking spaces to accommodate the locals and visitors here to enjoy what the park has to offer: the skate park is a clever use of bridge bases (pictured); the baseball and basketball courts seem popular and are often nicely crowded; several picnic areas have tables, bench seats, water fountains, and more; and the children's playgrounds are usually filled with little ones. The trails are paved all the way through, and the Roanoke River is never more than 20 metres away. Enjoy!
