My husband was here to get his Jersey plate, and from coming in then to get to the waiting line and got his genetic plate number(I mean, the numbers and alphabets looked random and of course not making sense XD) total less than an hour. I watched while three elderly people in front of me were spoken to impatiently and cutting them off when they were trying to get clarificatio. the one that stood out most was a veteran who needed plates. the greeter was impatien, dismissive and down right disrespectful to him. Frankly, by the time I got to the greeter, I was already agitated when I told her I wanted to renew my license. She told me they did not do it there and I needed to make an appointment. when I mentioned the paperwork did not say that, her response cutting me off was that it's been like that since 2000. it's not what she said, it's her delivery and nastiness. she should not be dealing with the public. On a side note- why on earth is that information (appt required, locations) on the paperwork for license renewal? At a minimum it should have stated to go to a specific website for details.

Coming from NYC, this location is a pleasure to deal with in comparison. It is clean although dated, there is always a police officer stationed which keeps the loons at bay for the most part. The wait is never too long, most of the clerks are nice and personable and some just appear to hate their life and are miserable regardless of how nice u are to them. All in this place is the best of the worst and I'll continue to use it as long as I have to.

I waited about 5 minutes to get inside and once inside, I was done in less than 10 minutes. Registration and plates in hand. $75 service fee is well worth not having to deal with going to DMV. Once again, I made an appointment on the MVC website for 830am on the very next day, completed the appropriate form online, and printed it out at home to bring with me to my appointment. When I arrived at the MVC a few minutes before my appointment, the receptionist greeted me with a smile, acknowledged I had completed the correct form but needed to make a minor correction, and directed me right to Window 1. The associate at Window 1 quickly scanned the form, processed the credit card payment for the transaction, printed a new registration, and handed me my new license plates and paperwork -- all within 5 minutes. I was done and back on the road to work by 830am. Thanks, again, for another easy experience.

Special praise to Jeanne at the reception who was is extremely efficient in taking care of so so many things as I could see her helping all the people in front of me. The layout is efficient for such a small space relative to other agency service centers. Reception is right up front with a lots of spare space to walk around, ingrass and egress. Bathrooms are afront, but I don't know how they are. There are almost a dozen counters with a numbered registration and queuing system. They handle quite a wide variety of services, although the official site lists exactly what they are, because there are too many to list in one review. There is always a police officer posted here, but happily it is a very quiet assignment. Parking is plentiful as would be expected. The appointment quotas and walk-in services are aligned to make sure it's never overwhelmed. Visibility from NJ Route 28 makes it easy to find and locals will know its Roosevelt Place northern entrance. The hours are standard ones, but the efficient processing is always a pleasure if you must come.
