This place is #1 on TripAdvisor right now, and while we enjoyed our lunch here, we really can't imagine why it's so popular. It was full up on a weekend at lunchtime, with loads of locals crowding into the tables. We were lucky and arrived before the rush. The (I assume) owner found out we'd never been before, and made recommendations to make sure that we got a good mix of food. We started with a salad to share, which was bigger than we thought and had quite a lot of veggies and tasty things like olives. We were glad to have it before all the meat! So we shared a plate of mixed kebabs, two kinds of chicken and a lamb kofte. We both really appreciated how juicy the chicken was, but didn't find it hugely flavorful. The lamb was better, but lamb has a stronger natural flavor anyway! We shared rice and bread, and definitely filled up. But as far as Middle Eastern food and kebabs go, we've definitely had better. Everything was fine, and the owner was very warm. But I can't imagine why this is the #1 place in town, it's just a nice little cafe! Taste of Persia is better, and cheap too. read more
