A charming litte garden in the heart of Mayfair, just behind The Punchbowl, a kind of hidden spot that is worth taking a look at.
Although it is certain that it is not a 'secret' garden anymore, as it has been mentioned, I still have discovered this place to some people that have worked in the vicinity for years and never knew it existed. It still is a quiet garden most time of the year, only getting busier at lunch times on sunny and warm days. But there are benches on both sides of the walks, so you will always be able to find a place to sit.
There is quite a variety of birds to spot for such a small garden, and nice and well looked after trees and flowers as well.
It is a lovely place to have a break in the middle of the day and read a book or just let the time pass by.
Beware that if you are an early bird like me, the opening times of the park vary, as sometimes it is open at 7am but others it isn't open until almost 7.30am or so. I have not seen an opening times notice anywhere, I think this is just due to the person responsible of opening the park pressing the snooze buttons too many times ;) read more
