I couldn't find the Marketta Cafe, so I have a strange feeling that the cafe is part the Miami Marketta. We went there to get an iced coffee after the beach. They didn't have Iced Americanos on the menu, but they gladly made them for us. Also, I was short about 1 dollar since we were trying to get ride of all of our Australian coins, and the lady happily said, no worries that's enough. She was super nice and to top it off the coffee was the best we had since our stay on the Gold Coast (better than Zarraffa's, which I am sure is not difficult). The cafe was fully mums and babies (it was Tuesday late morning), and from the menu I saw that there was some delicious smoothies as well as other yummy snacks and cabinet food. There is a mirror testing you tongue-twisting abilities, a room filled with disco lights and screens that represent you in pixel form, a room with rotating walls that you must walk on a plank to pass through as well as more standard rooms that don't move and have normal lighting. In the more normal rooms are fun puzzles like a gate that you must solve how to open and a statue of the tallest man alive. There are so many cool things to see but I won't list them here because the surprise is part of what makes this place so interesting. Kids absolutely adore it and there are plenty of historical items and stories that adults will get absorbed in. It is a great place for the whole family to visit.

Reasonably priced, considering you can take your time and easily spend over an hour there if you're actually reading about things. Although it is a place for children, I'm not sure how many kids would want to walk around and pretty much just read about stuff nowadays. There are some interactive things, but not heaps.

Not ideal for a wedding in that regard. But overall was a great experience, despite these set backs.

This was also a gift from my cousin that she booked for all of us so this is from a tourist pov. It is a beautiful winery - raw in its form - you pull up, park in a spot and enter the winery. There's trees and land and mountains - it's gorgeous. We walk in and there's an older gentleman there - we tell him we are there for a wine tasting and tour and he asks how we booked and says hold on someone will be with us. The way my cousin purchased the tour was online - so there were some issues with that and they kinda were saying that she'd have to pay cash at the end or whatever - it just was kinda all over the place and that's okay - but it didn't seem like we were there for a wine tasting. There wasn't very much direction as to what we were doing. It felt almost like we were at a farm just visiting a family's property. The decor is kinda all over the place - actually there is none. The inside has so much potential- but seeing as there were all men there - I can see why it was minimal and that there were colored paper chains on the staircase. Feels like they've maybe let it slip through the cracks on the inside - even the patio was outdated and maybe needed some modern outdoor furniture and a new patio at that. I know it's a small family business but if you're having ppl book tours - it would prob help to maybe update or modernize the facility. We did a wine tasting and our guide was great - they had a cheese board and drinks that the girls purchased a la carte - just feels like these could have been included in the package if you ask me. They did give us a bag of treats for the animals so we fed the sheep and alpaca outside and it was a beautiful experience. They are so cute. I think the winery has so much potential with just maybe some improvement on their tour/wine tasting experience being more organized. Also updates to the facility because it looks really outdated. I don't really drink wine so I'm not here to judge the alcohol. Food: had the choice of hamburgers or chicken burgers. It came with lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. The bun was a big and fluffy bread that was way too big for the meat. The hamburger was mediocre at best, it also came with a side of dry french fries. There is complimentary hot water in front where you can make your own coffee or tea. Luckily I snagged some coffee before the rude worker I'll be mentioning later took away the milk. I was the only one mixing a drink and she even give me warning that she was taking things away. She just mentioned she was cleaning up, but didn't put in context to reset the room for the next group. There is also an impressive selection of non alcoholic beverages on the side of the dining room in coolers for $3.50 each. There are also ice cream bars for sale as well. The one girl we had did a great job explaining how the different wines were and how to taste it. One of the other girls was very short with us and she must have been super busy. Friendly level of 2 out of 10. She didn't give a rip about us since she was the leader for another group. There are restrooms on the first and second floors. 6 in total. 4 stars for the wine such I don't know much about in hopes of giving the owner the benefit of the doubt. -2 stars for everything else.

The Musuem is staffed entirely with volunteers, each knowledgeable and friendly, willing to go the extra mile to assist you in your journey back in time. We enjoyed a cup of tea and a biscuit with 2 lovely ladies that regaled us with stories of the past. There is a true replicate of a house from about 175 years ago. Displayed are the tools of the time, both for the house and for farming. There are Four additional buildings, each with its own theme. We enjoyed them all, especially following the historical growth of the Gold Coast. You see the path of technological development of audio equipment, cameras, Sewing machines etc. At last we walked the "forest walk". Local plants are labeled and lead you to historical grave sites.
