We stopped by with two granddaughters, ages 8 and "so close to 5", the glass blower was very knowledgable and patient. He explained the process in terms they could understand and patiently answered all their questions. We watched him make a sun catcher and returned to see a hummingbird feeder being created. A friend and I walked in on a slow weekday. No customers were in the store and I could see a man in the cage. As I walked in, I asked if he was making anything. I made my way around the displays and saw that he was. As I approached the man said, "Do your eyes work?" I told him I couldn't see until I got around the display. He said "So your eyes do work. Stopped in for the views and memories as my dad was a collection of blown glass my whole life! I knew I wanted to take home a small keepsake but wanted to be careful about getting it home on the plane. I loved the small pumpkins they had available and other pieces as well. There was a dish that had beautiful browns, coppers, and golds in it which reminded me of the mountains. A small shop on a prominent corner of the main street, Elkhorn Ave. I was able to park on the street up the hill. I wonder how many Visitors walk Downtown Estes Park without stopping @ Mountain Blown Glass? Every time I was within a block, I could see the place was packed. I finally managed to get in & up close to observe. Glass Blowing is a rare art that is fascinating to watch. Looks like pure magic to me. The skilled Artisans were amazing. They were also gifted in their ability to clearly explain the process to onlookers, who quickly bought the pieces being created. A much more desirable souvenir than the mass-produced ones, IMO. read more

We contacted MBG about 3 weeks before our big day and I crossed my fingers they would be available to help us with our unity ceremony glass. I got an email less than 12 hours later cheerfully saying that they would love to help. Cory and I scheduled a phone call to get some colors and planning figured out and less than a week later we had our beads. After the wedding we mailed them back, easy as can be, and got to have another amazing conversation with Cory about our glass visions. We ordered many amazing products and Cory worked with me each step of the way to talk about colors and different products. We even asked him to make a little pumpkin (family tradition) out of our wedding glass and it's my absolute favorite piece. I got an email with pictures showing our final products and a week later we had our glass pieces in hand. I love it here! The man blowing glass when we were in could not have been friendlier! He let us hang out and watch while he described what he was doing and why. He patiently answered all our questions and it felt as though we were chatting with a friend. The pieces for sale are amazing (we walked away with a glass chili pepper)! We even discussed having a custom piece made, and he walked around the store with us explaining our color options! Anyone in Estes Park should stop in for a bit and check this place out! I think the prices on what's for sale seem pretty decent when you stop to remember that you're purchasing one of a kind, blown glass pieces! I marked it as pricey only because it's more than I would normally spend. However, for what I'm getting I see it as money well spent! read more

We actually live in California, but really wanted to do a "mixing of glass frit" ceremony at our wedding. These guys beat the pants off everyone else in terms of reasonable pricing, even the glass shops in our own backyard. Their shipping was super fast (I probably contacted them only a week or so before the wedding). They were extremely nice and responsive via email or phone. And the finished product is so pretty I had to review even though it's still in the mail. I wish we lived in Colorado so we could visit in person! This place is a must stop for any trip to Estes Park. They do demos on the weekends so you can sit comfy and cozy by the kiln/furnace and watch them blow glass and give you an explanation of the process. Really friendly people too. read more

You can watch them blow glass and make the merchandise they sell in the stores. Glass artists and employees are very friendly and know the products well. Everything is beautifully displayed and the whole store is so bright and colorful that you should consider going in even if you don't plan on buying anything. One of the cashiers even gave me a necklace for free once with the promise that I would wear it for advertising purposes (which I did and still do). Great store!! :) read more
