I can't advise you to avoid this place more. It is such as shame because it is a beautiful little…read morespot overlooking a small water fall that leads into the surrounding rain forest. But the staff and owners of this establishment don't seem to care about the place at all! The whole place is in disrepair and is dirty. The only reason we stayed there to eat is because we were starving and struggling to find a place with open tables. These guys had plenty though which, in hindsight, was probably a good sign of what to expect. The outdoor dining area is appalling with mold growth on almost every surface. It looks like the only thing they clean out there is the table tops. Weeds and ferns have worked their way into cracks in the concrete and retaining walls and are left to grow as they please and the whole place is covered with a generous layer of cob webs. There are levels of the outside dining area. When exiting the building you come out onto a deck with umbrellas and wooden handrails interlaced with cables to prevent kids falling through. Every single one of these cables are extremely loose so don't let your kids near them as my 3 year old demonstrated his ability to climb right through them. Some of the cables are also broken. Step down onto a small concrete terrace to get a better look at the water fall and surrounding rain forest and you're greeted by old and rusty wrought iron tables and matching chairs that have filthy cushions on them - these obviously don't get taken inside overnight and are left to the elements. The handrails here are of the alluminium pool fence type and are bent and broken in places and is missing a number of bolts to hold it together safely. More cobwebs and actual spiders in these too. And from the lower platform you get a great view of the cafe's broken window which obviously happened quite some time ago. Someone has tried to hold the window together with cheap brown packing tape which has failed and is falling off. Inside is very dated but much clean. The food was just poor. I eat a low carb diet and asked for their cheeseburger with no bun. They don't have an option to buy the burger on its own, only offering it with a side of chips which I didn't want either so they refused to discount it despite not having to provide half the food that usually comes with it. I can concede that's going to happen at times so I didn't sweat it. But the dish they brought out to me was pathetic. A pile of mixed lettuce leaves with a few slivers of over ripe tomato and a little diced onion, a saucer with tomato sauce in it and the most disgusting burger patty I've ever eaten which I was told was 100% beef but you could tell by the meatloaf texture it was full of bread crumbs as well. Their menu states the cheese burger would have cheese and mayo on it also, neither of which made an appearance on my plate. So I had a bland salad for lunch that cost me $16 while my kid ate the burger patty. My wife had the chicken schnitzel which she said was actually cooked nicely though spoiled by a swirl of some kind of vinaigrette squirted over the top (luckily there wasn't much on there so she tolerated the flavour). It came with the same bland salad that I was given and some horrible chips, half of which were most likely scooped up of the bottom of the fryer. These were full size chips cooked so thoroughly they had achieved a diamond like hardness and were a deep brown colour while others were perfectly cooked. On the bright side she said the seasoning on them was nice. The only thing that I was happy with was the coffee. It actually tasted pretty good, came out to the table quickly and they got the order right. Another positive is that no one got sick. I wouldn't go there again and I would suggest that others avoid this place too. And to the owner, get that bloody window replaced and buy the staff a cobweb broom for christ's sake
