I'm a lifetime resident who has had many encounters with the Maggie water department side of things…read moresince they put the water up Jaynes Cove Road. While the office staff has always been pleasant and helpful the same cannot be said about some members of their repair crew. Over these many years we've had countless episodes of them not flushing out the lines after they break despite the fact there is a flush-out valve just above my house. While the district manager always insists they "always do the required flush out" the video included in this review shows they simply do not. If they do flush the lines they do it many hours later once all the "mud" has been pushed through my house. This not only causes the water heater to need replacing every few years but the air that comes through the lines does so with such force that it blows out the valves in the back of my commodes. I've had to replace many of these simply because of the pressure from the air. My most recent blow up though occurred Christmas Eve day 2025 when the water went out yet again due to a line break. I approached the crew in good spirits but when I asked the simple question of when the water would be back online the kid digging down in the hole took it personally and made a smart mouthed comment to which I asked the district manager, who was operating the backhoe, if he was going to put up with his behavior. At this point the manager gestured like he was coming out of the backhoe to physically remove me from standing near the hole as I was talking to his employee. He had requested in a hateful way that I move out of the way even though the backhoe was not in operation during this confrontation. After they finished the work they left a big pile of dirt on the side of the road connected to my property. They have as of yet, March 25, done anything to fix this making it impossible for me to mow that area. They have however repaired another neighbor's area they recently repaired another leak. That leak was a week or so ago and is when the video I've posted was repaired. It's clear that the district manager has a beef with me so here's your review.

They are always working! No one can say that they are lazy, no sirree. If you have a water problem, they come right out. They explain stuff to you so you can understand it. And, they got candy at the front desk, so paying a bill is not so bad when you have sugar in your mouth. Love 'em!

Disgustingly incompetent people who always answer the phone with a goddamn attitude like you're not…read moresupposed to be calling them for help. They mess up a lot and when you call them out for it, they get mad at you instead of themselves. They're so bad at their job that it makes you angry. 0/10 help. 10/10 rage bait. Overall, they have no customer service and are very inconsiderate. You'll hang up the phone feeling angry and questioning if they even graduated from high school.

So, this is the entity you want to contact when you start a new business in Waynesville. They also do building inspections, code enforcement, and zoning and building stuff. Want to become a notary, a position that allows you to support the alteration of wills of senior citizens with dementia per their avaricious progeny, in order to secure future support for their even more avaricious wives? Yes, you can; with the Register of Deeds department! If you enjoy being questioned by a county clerk employee because you are making her work, then get going to that department. Public and human resources round out these town services. Note: See my review on our town park for a slice of life. You ask: "Why only two stars?". Well, when I call up "The Town of Waynesville" with questions, I want answers, dammit. The first time I had to contact the townies, it was to inquire if a tree was on our property line or not. They ignored our calls. The second time, it was to inquire about the misplacing of Halloween. Or, rather, the bumping of this holiday up twenty-four hours to Saturday night, as opposed to Sunday night. It blew my mind. My kids' psyches were damaged. Local teens emboldened by cruising on their Sabbath aimed a rehashed barb at us. I decided to call up someone to find out if this is a religious phenomenon, or sanctioned by the town proper. No one called me back. The local paper never printed up my opinion on this matter. Recently, with a simple inquiry, they wanted to send out an inspector for a small renovation project. We told them the deal. I think that they expect disaster. We still have had none as of yet. I feel very powerful knowing that I have Waynesville in my clutches this very moment. I, as a word goddess, bestow limited compassion to it and wisdom to its inhabitants. From henceforth, know that returning phone calls is sacred in my world.
