I recently reached out to Mountain Country Propane during a time of severe winter temperatures, where my safety and well-being were at stake. I had already encountered several barriers with other companies and was beginning to feel spiritually disheartened by the lack of care. Then came General Manager Jason, who took time from his day to truly assist. Though his company could not directly provide the type of propane service I initially needed, he gave me thoughtful, detailed guidance about staying warm safely in a tiny home setting. He advised me on ventless propane heaters (Mr. Heater, 25,000-35,000 BTU brick style), the safe use of one-pound propane bottles, how to store them, and proper carbon monoxide detector placement (at least 20 feet from the heater). He offered this help not out of obligation, but with a spirit of humanity and genuine care. That's rare. I told him I'd leave a Yelp review not out of formality, but from the bottom of my heart. Sometimes in this world, people forget that kindness is a spiritual offering -- and he offered it freely. His insight may have helped me protect my life during below-zero temperatures. This company deserves recognition for that level of integrity. Place is exactly as described. We were visiting family nearby so we just needed a place to sleep. Place was chilly, but the heater warmed it up quickly and stayed warm when you have it turned to a higher heat setting. Plenty of blankets, towels, etc for the 3 of us. No shampoo or conditioner so be sure you pack that. Grounds are well maintained and decore is cute. Just 10 minutes to town. We will definitely stay again if they will have us. Their main purpose is as a family outreach. They offer a place for a family to come and heal with counseling. What an amazing outreach! I only interacted with them a little and I would imagine them to be amazing. My in-laws spoke very well of their practice. When we were there we saw cars with liscence plates from Tennessee and Texas so they must be well known.

I guarantee, if my family would have received poor service, I would write a review, so they should be noted for their work and outstanding team. My dad passed away recently after a brief illness. As soon as the end was imminent, I called Ms. Maxoma with my father's information to make some pre-arrangements. She immediately told me she knew my dad and listed off a slew of other people (by name) who I am related to including my grandma and uncle. She was so kind and it was quite comforting that she personally knew my father and so many people in my family. I realize this is a small town and a rural area, but Ms. Maxoma knows her stuff! No doubt about it. Well, you know how most people have a crazy uncle or cousin or someone a little nuts in their family? Let's just say I have more than my fair share. Ms. Maxoma and the funeral director, Angie (who is new) handled the potentially "volatile" (that's being polite) situation with grace and finesse. I was highly impressed with both of them and all of the services we received. Bottom line, my dad received a dignified and honorable visitation, service and burial. In the end, that's all I care about. Holman-Howe, Angie and Ms. Maxoma made it happen and my family and I will be forever grateful.
