Thanks to Kelly and everyone at Whistling Wren Farm, they made the experience as easy, painless, and fun as it could be. It was unfortunate that the couple was prevented from having their last dance due to a disagreement that got heated between the DJ and the venue owners who then abruptly turned on the lights and ended the reception, very bewildering to us all. No apology or explanation was issued that may have decreased our dissatisfaction. We also would recommend installing permanent bathrooms (the luxury portable toilets were better than expected) and providing heat in some way. We also had feedback from guests that the venue owners felt a bit overbearing and intrusive at times.

I needed a break and decided to pop up to the Carroll County Book Festival and spend the night. My room, which was luxurious and huge, was ready early so I could nap before meeting friends for dinner. Every aspect of my stay was relaxed and I felt doted upon! The Sunday morning breakfast with four other guests was a highlight in terms of interesting company and delicious and varied breakfast treats (sausage & bacon, yogurt parfait, Belgian waffles, and dessert eclairs!). The coffee was plentiful and tasty and the service was lovely. I had time for a bubble bath in the spa tub before checkout at noon.
