Ice maker on fridge did not work, some outlets did not work, no garbage disposal, no grill tools, fireplace outside was filled with water and trash, no smart TV to log into apps, no curtains just cheap blinds, hazardous dining table that left us with bruises on our legs and knees, stink bugs throughout upstairs, dingy and stained wash clothes and towels, no comforters or quilts on any bed, only scratchy throws, extremely small rooms, photos online are very different than reality. Bare minimum or below standard of everything. We stayed at the Chestnut Chalet.

When we called to dispute it, the person deferred to someone else who sent me a message stating that I didn't cancel within 24 hours and they were not refunding my money...although the span of time between the appointment being made and the actual appointment was far less than 24 hours. I am highly alarmed that they kept my card number without my permission; especially considering that two years had lapsed since I had last used the spa. So, if you must use their services, please do not give them your card. I don't even trust that they could keep my insurance information protected.

She claimed that the perm wouldn't take, but my hair was in the exact same condition last year when the other stylist successfully permed my hair. In fact, I have been getting perms for decades with varying degrees of organic henna remaining in my hair, and never had a problem. She was so loud and obnoxious, that everyone in the salon was watching. I had no choice but to leave, since no one would help me, and the humiliation was so great that I was in tears to be put on display like that! I felt like I committed a crime!

A massage therapist incapable of applying pressure is like a chef incapable of taste. I received ZERO value and I will go home and use a lacrosse ball and foam roller. I also had the pleasure of joining their Saturday morning yoga class with Becky in the barn. $12 for 1 hour. The barn easily accommodates a large group and a nice breeze and fans in each corner made the morning yoga session just perfect. They have yoga mats, blocks, and knee pads available for use. I also joined the late morning sound bath session with Carrie. $35 for 1 hour. The hour went by so quick. It was so relaxing and calming. Carrie utilizes a variety of bowls and instruments to general sound and vibrations over and around us in a guided relaxation session. They have yoga mats and pillows available for use. Between the yoga and sound bath, Lori brought out light refreshments to include ice tea, blueberry cucumber water, gluten free honey bars, lavender and earl grey shortbread cookies, and a melon blueberry salad. Perfect for a quick snack in between sessions. The Barn is adjacent to the Spa and located at 112 Cedar Ridge Rd.
