However, the junk removal was much more costly than other companies I've used in the past. The worst part of the experience was that the junk guys tracked mud on the carpets through the entire path from the front door to an upstairs bedroom. They "compensated" me by discounting the price by $45 which was something, but didn't make up for the two hours of carpet cleaning I had to do after they left. Personally, this will be the last time I use Jolly Junk.

I wrote them a check and went back inside. Within a minute, I heard a crash and went outside to find that our power lines can been ripped down from the connecting point to the house. We were not outside to witness this, but I ran to the alley to see the Jolly Junk truck driving away as the wires now lay down across our yard and hanging low in the alley. I called Jolly Junk to express the issue but it was quickly defensive that we didn't actually witness it. Fair enough, except that there was nobody else in the alley. The incident itself was frustrating as we need to ensure with an electrician that nothing is wrong, but the lack of accountability is worse. I imagine their service - albeit expensive - is fine. But if anything goes wrong, I hope you won't have to work with Lindsay or her team. We'll certainly be using other services from now on.

Joe Florez is dishonest and completely unprofessional. He was paid a deposit of half down, he would show up to the job for a couple hours a day, spend most of that time sitting down making personal phone calls, and little to no work would be done. He continuously lied about when the job would be finished, asked for more money (which we gave him in hopes that it would motivate him to finish the job!), and his subcontractors stopped showing up because he spent the money we paid him that he was supposed to use to pay them. By the time we decided to fire him less than half the work we hired him to do had been completed. We paid him far more money than we should have, but just wanted the nightmare to stop. But after we fired him, he had the nerve to sue us for the remaining balance! On top of it all, the work he did do was done wrong because he took shortcuts and showed absolutely no pride in his work. This "business" is a complete joke run by a thief. If I could rate it zero stars I would.

When they came for the estimate Luis, the owner, agreed to everything we discussed. When accepting the bid I even confirmed our discussion in writing. When he showed up on day one to start the work he already walked in with a bad attitude. He started questioning all our agreements right away and after 10 (!) minutes walked out and left with his guys claiming "he couldn't do this" without any more specifics. Outside I heard him telling his guys to meet them at another customers job site much closer to where his business is located. It became clear that he dropped my project for another more lucrative one. This left me in bad situation to find another painter immediately. Fortunately I did and he was 60% of the price that Luis had quoted me. Upon further research I found out that he only has been in business 3 years and already had a delinquency filing from the State of Colorado which did not surprise me.
