My guide was fantastic, super friendly, and pointed out interesting things along the way like wild hog tracks on a tree and a spring where the hogs had made a little "mud spa." It really made the ride special. The only downside was my interaction with the owner. I had called earlier in the morning to check if they were open after a heavy rain, and a very kind lady explained that while reservations were preferred, I could just call about 30 minutes before arriving. When I did call later, the owner answered and was very upset that I said I'd be there in 30 minutes, not realizing I'd spoken with someone earlier. Once we cleared up the misunderstanding, she seemed more businesslike, but it definitely left a negative impression. My advice: make a reservation in advance to avoid any issues. The ride itself is absolutely worth it, but the overall experience could be smoother with better communication at the front end.

My only complaint about the room was the cheap grade of toilet paper. Also, anyone over 6 feet tall should be prepared to crouch a bit in the shower. My husband and I both are under 6 feet tall so it wasn't a problem for us. We also dined in their restaurant both nights. The first night my husband and I both had the filet, which was delicious though a bit overcooked. We both asked for medium and received medium-well almost well done steaks. We added the mushroom sauce and it was wonderful. The second night my husband got the filet again and it was cooked to perfection. I got the Tuscan chicken and it was delicious as well. They only serve wine and beer but that was ok because we were both in the mood for wine both nights. They also had a red sangria that was to die for. It's a bit pricey but the food is excellent and the view is phenomenal.

Very nice park with plenty of room to play, walk, picnic and fish…read more I mainly visit/use this park for the boat launch when working in the area (White River). There are 2 boat launch areas, one lane on each. The original launch area is near the main parking lot, has a long and steep launch slip. Obviously older than the new one but it is still very useable. The new launch area is to the left of the original and almost under the bridge and has a shallower incline compared to the original and plenty of room to park vehicle with trailer. Much easier to launch a canoe/kayak on the new launch area. Park has plenty of public restrooms and the area is very clean and well maintained. So get out and stretch your legs a while and enjoy the beautiful public space along the White River.

His knowledge and expertise shined through, even with the morning river fog, impressive. Water and soda were provided during our fishing charter service. At the end, they do clean what you catch and even offered to cook a couple of our trout for a fee, but it's so worth it. Eating it fresh from the river with a little bit of butter and seasoning, wrapped in foil and cooked over hot coals. Delicious! David who is the owner has outstanding customer service skills. He's a great host who provided everything we needed, attention to detail. David and his staff is the reason we will be returning. We plan to make it a yearly ritual. Jenkins Fishing Service is the way to go and it's located in a beautiful small historic town. The only regret I have is waiting 2 years to finally do it.
