I really enjoyed watching the seniors play in a professional setting. It's been a long time since I've seen pro golf at this level. One negative I will say, is that there was only one restaurant for people with general admission tickets. And there were a LOT of people there. Maybe next year they could have a few more options? The one spot to eat was Full moon BBQ. This is just a minor thing, but something to think about! Also, don't forget your sunscreen, cool clothing, sunglasses and hat. Summers in Alabama are hot!

My wife had the hamburger soup and I had the Rueben on Marble Rye with Fries. Good cook on the pastrami, not overloaded on the sauerkraut. Fries were done to perfection. Chef did a wonderful job, very professional and Courteous. JO is in charge of the restaurant and runs a tight ship. Checked out the PRO shop and it was fully stocked with many essential items and some. Golf course is beautiful, there is one home owner who put up a soda/water/lemonade/hot chocolate stand by home #2 and sticks it himself. Such a wonderful person to do that.

Most of the holes have picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and streams. No question one of the most beautiful golf courses around Birmingham. The course is a challenging track. There are some very long holes, elevation changes, and lots of hazards that require carry. I was playing very well on the front nine, but the wheels came off on the back. Holes #10 and #11 ate my lunch and I couldn't recover. I definitely think the back 9 is more difficult. Don't let the rural setting fool you, this course is relatively high-end golf. The course is owned and operated by Warrior Golf company. They keep it pretty well maintained, and it is professionally run. The green fees are expensive ($94), but they occasionally run specials. We used a March special that was advertised on FaceBook. It was Friday golf for four for $140. That was a steal!

He studies body mechanics, physiology, psychology, and history, and how all of those impact the search for and achievement of the modern swing. Garrett is able to teach at each students individual level, and I have watched him teach three year olds, 90 year olds, one handicaps and 40 handicaps and he brings the same, fun-loving approach to each scenario. Garrett ultimately wants to bring people to the game for the love and enjoyment of golf itself and he's very good at his craft.
