My experience with Mountain View Hospital is as a spouse of a patient. My husband has had several out patient test done at different times. I was present for the tests or to receive information after the tests. The doctors and support staff were very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They easily answered my questions in as full detail as I needed and treated me with respect. As I was present while some of the tests were performed I felt they tried to enroll me as an interested party and explained as the test progressed. I never felt like an outsider. Testing can be quite stressful. The doctor and support staff worked to minimize the stress. I like how Mountains View Hospital conducts health care. read more

I received a call claiming to be from Mtn. View asking for info to "complete my file." I called the main number to find out if this is legit. Woman who answers has the call on speaker so there is so much noise in the background I can barely understand her. Besides being rude and dismissive she refused to help me. Just infuriating. Weird that this hospital has two stars but my son was here 24 hours and though understaffed, we had a nice experience. I had forgotten my charger and went back to get it. The woman at the nurse station on third floor was not courteous at all but the gentleman who was there went above and beyond to help me. I've been here for my surgeries and my childrens births. Only a few times have I encountered not so friendly staff. One was an L&D nurse and thankfully was able to have a new nurse immediately after voicing my concerns and than the ultrasound tech in the radiology department was not so nice. Other than that my stays have always been above and beyond. The place is clean and homey feeling. Also have amazing food and staff! They've always made me feel comfortable. This is and always be my hospital of choice in the area. I have had nothing but great experiences in various departments and extensions of the hospital. These include general surgery, outpatient surgery, maternity, and imaging. They ensure that their staff are hospitable, engaged, and honest. Mountain View Hospital is only concerned about the money! Not because they want to take care of their employees, rather they only want to take care of their administration and investors! They pay FAR less than any facility in the surrounding areas and will happily cut hours and pay to their hard working employees, in order to ensure the "top dogs" get huge bonuses! Mountain View use to be a respected company that actually cared about their employees and patients alike. That is a thing of the past! This company is ruled by greed! Administration/managers refuse to attend "mandatory" meetings, during which employee concerns are to be addressed, and then send out an email introducing themselves (telling us their name and all of the things they like to do on "their time off!") Seriously!?! You do not provide enough staff or wage for ANY of your employees to take "time off!" Not only that, your employees were required to use their PTO (which was cut in half) during a pandemic in order to maintain their "full-time status," while you all continued to vacation and rake in HUGE bonuses. Pay for an RN = 15.40/hr - recently raised to $17/hr. Mountain View does not provide proper PPE for any of their staff. Want an N95? Good luck! One that fits and actually protects you? Not likely! But, since they do not routinely make sure their employees masks fit (or offer alternatives when one doesn't fit) it really doesn't matter anyhow, right!?! (I had ONE N95 mask fitting in 11 months -actually the entire 2 yrs I worked there - 11 of those months during Covid!- I failed miserably! Was told they would retest me. 11 months later, I was still wearing the original N95 that I was specifically told "doesn't protect me at all!" Yet, if I became ill, taking care of Covid patients day after day, and they could prove I didn't wear my mask 100% of the time - they would refuse to pay sick time! Our gowns were provided by an employees family member that works for Madison Memorial! Our gloves are being purchased from a mechanic shop because Mountain View is "out of stock." "Managers" consist of high school drop outs and Medical Coders. Front desk staff is hired based on their ability to do the hair and nails of the manager (as well as their willingness to pick up her children from school and babysit!) Laws are broken daily and Medicare fraud is abundant! You will be fired for having a PRIVATE conversation with someone about the seriousness of wearing a mask. They will fire you for "going against Mountain View policy!" So, I guess that Mountain View is against wearing a mask! In the middle of a Pandemic - you will be fired for following (and stressing the importance of following) guidelines from the CDC, WHO, and immunologist worldwide! My advice? Avoid Mountain View at all costs! The hospital, urgent cares, clinics, ect! When you look at their Google reviews - just know that MOST of the nurses and Doctors that have good reviews have also been fired from the company!!! Why?!? Because we stand up for our patients! We are true patient advocates! We stand up and call out the managers/administration when we see laws being broken! Mountain View Hospital needs to have a complete overhaul and start from the basics. A good place to start? Fire ALL of their managers, administration, and "co-owners!" Find some decent human beings to manage this company. Stop all of the HUGE bonuses and "vacations," stop the private "partner swapping" and drug filled company parties! That might be a good place to start.... read more

I had an outpatient procedure yesterday with Dr. Weight at Mountain View hospital to fix a herniated disc. I wanted to write this review of the people that helped me at the hospital because the service they provided was stellar and they deserve to be recognized. My pre-op nurse was Lindsey. She was professional and patiently took me through what needed to be done while treating me with the utmost respect and compassion for how much pain I was in. She was just so kind to me while I was in really rough shape. Next, my anesthesiologist was Jeremy. He saw the condition I was in, and listened to my nurse, and came up with a plan to get me into surgery with as little pain as possible. It worked! Above his mask his eyes were reassuring and I felt confident about having him taking care of me during my procedure. Last, Kristen was my recovery nurse. I had a hard time coming around and getting back to normal after my procedure. She gently and respectfully helped me get dressed in time for the occupational therapist to see me, and was like my own cheerleader, cheering on my little milestones, helping me progress, and managing my medical needs until I was ready to go home. I don't know what billing is going to be like, and I don't know anything about how the hospital is managed. But everyone was wearing masks, and the staff I was in contact with were all professional and friendly. I felt safe there and well cared for. read more

Me and my mother went to this hospital like we always do if we have a major problem. We have been treated good in the past but today was not that at all. A nurse by the name of BO was very unfriendly and very rude. He had attitude the whole time and told my mom "quite down your in pain you're not going to die". Very unprofessional person and he got worked up fast and told us we could leave and go somewhere else if we don't like how he does things. This kid should be working at a fast food not in a hospital dealing with sick and emotional people. If you can't handle dealing with upset or sick people you need to find a different line of work not in a hospital where you are suppose to help people. I will not be letting this go I will be reporting him online for his behavior. read more

Returned from partial knee replacement surgery. Admissions was easy and without issues. The pre-op staff was friendly and comforting. They were efficient and kept us well informed. The surgical staff was quick and efficient and post-op staff was very good. They were attentive and made sure I was okay before they released me. The nurses and CNAs were great. They had a great sense of humor, caring attitude and were very patient with me. They made my stay very productive. I can't say enough about them. Highest recommendation for this hospital !! read more

Recently had knee replacement with Dr Biddulph here. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable and caring. From the pre trip visit thru the initial check in visit they seem to be well organized and committed. This is actually the second surgery I've had here along with a colonoscopy every time I was treated real well here. Their nursing staff seem to be very well trained and organized. Even though they are not quite as good as being home they do a pretty good job. One small complaint however; that's the reason for the 4 stars vs the 5 stars. Their mattresses are well just horrendous 4" thick that are like rubber lined just a crappy, very crappy mattress. You just can't get comfortable on them. Hopefully someday in the near future they will get decent mattresses. I mean throw the tvs out and put in some decent beds. But other than that great hospital!! read more

The most horrible experience I have had at a hospital in the past 10 years. From the beginning with finding the right entrance to waiting over 25 minutes to be admitted to being placed in a hallway where they put bio hazard waste to then be put into a room without a call light and told to "just holler" if I needed something. Second time at this Subpar hospital with the same experience. Staff members with their masks down below their noses actually checking in customers, other staff members casually walking through hallways within 3 feet of me with masks pulled below their chins!!! UNACCEPTABLE... This company refuses to do touch free/hands free check ins for Cancer Survivors such as myself, got into an argument with a so-called supervisor named Mr Ratford I believe, I feel sorry for the people he actually supervises!!! He was combative and Rude Immediately with me, threatening to expulse me because of my Vigilance of my Own health and refusal to touch anything. They literally had no clue what to do or how to handle my situation. I showed up for an 8 am appointment and told me it was not on time, NO communication whatsoever to me ahead of my Scheduled appointment informing me it would be delayed. I took a half a day off of work to be able to attend said appointment. Their resolution was for me to reschedule again an appointment for More time off of work. Seriously??? I work on commission, not hourly nor salaried wages. THAT MAKES ZERO SENSE!!! Cavalier attitude permeates this entire staff and not one person took my Health Risk Seriously at any point during either of my two visits with the latter making me feel uncomfortable and at risk for my own health. I received a letter from the hospital Threatening me that my non-emergency services at this Subpar hospital would be terminated because of my Resistance to what they consider Clean, Safe and Proper Care. I have since responded back in writing detailing my Horrible experiences at this SUBPAR hospital. Well Mrs. Robinette and the rest of your hospital administration no need to threaten me any further, I will Never give you the opportunity to provide Subpar Care to me ever again! I would rather be driven hundreds of miles away than ever step foot in your facility again, GOOD RIDDANCE TO A SUBPAR FACILITY WITH HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! read more

I have had 2 surgeries there and both times have enjoyed my stay and been treated very courteously!

All of my nurses were no less then amazing! I labored for 19 hours and my nurses were all so helpful! From making sure I was okay if I needed to shift, I was starving so my nurse brought me chicken broth. Which helped so much! I'm more then great full. And to top it all of I got a card in the mail with all the nurses signing it wishing our family well and good luck on our new bundle of joy! That is customer care! I will recommend Mountain View to everyone I come across! Thank you for the amazing service! read more

I've been to Mountain View as a patient multiple times. When I had my baby, I had some average nurses, one I really disliked (I felt judged and like a burden), and one that I absolutely loved! Mountain View Hospital treated me great, I consider it a fantastic hospital in so many ways. I will start with the bad stuff to get it out of the way, because overall I still think this hospital did a great job. The only thing I didn't love is how when I showed up at the ER and told them my general doctor called and told me to go to the hospital right away because of my white blood cell count, and when I told them I was having trouble breathing, they said okay and gave me a facemask and told me to wait outside at the nearby ambulance entrance which I wasn't allowed to enter yet because they were worried I had covid and wanted to suit up. I understand the whole covid paranoia and whatnot but in hindsight it is kind of weird that the first thing they do with someone who is having a hard time breathing is give them a facemask which constricts their breathing and tell them to keep it on and have them wait outside where no one else is around and where it would be pretty hard to pass the virus on anyway because it is open air. And I was so weak that I couldn't stand for long, so I was just sitting down on the concrete waiting for a nurse for like thirty minutes and the whole time I was thinking "Seriously, this is what they do when someone comes into the ER? And what is taking them so long?" I went back and told the front desk no one was coming and they just said be patient and to go back and wait. I even considered leaving and finding another hospital because the whole thing felt so ridiculous, a fairly sick person waiting for half an hour on the concrete. Finally though I was admitted and had a great experience from there, so I will only dock them one star. If the covid panic wasn't going on I'm sure things would have been different. If anyone from the hospital is reading this, just please consider reevaluating some of your admission policies when people show up. That being said, I previously went to EIRMC for pretty bad pneumonia and thought the experience was all right if somewhat not great, but I had no previous hospitalization experiences to compare it to. I later learned that I had contracted a staph infection while at EIRMC, and after I was released, I was severely sick again a week later (having trouble breathing, fever, and lack of energy) and had to return to the hospital. This time I decided to try out Mountain View and am glad I did. My room was much larger and in general nicer, which is a huge plus because you don't feel as cramped, and the food was so much better that it was almost unbelievable. It was like comparing school lunch to restaurant food, and that's hardly an exaggeration. Additionally at Mountain View I felt a little more involved in the knowledge of what was going on with me and how I was being treated, although to be fair, as far as nurses and doctors go in general I would say both hospitals had great staff. Just the way they ran things at Mountain View felt a little more involved, a bit more of a personal connection with my doctors, probably because they have less patients. One thing worth mentioning is I talked to one doctor who said he used to be at EIRMC but liked how things worked at Mountain View a bit better. I don't want to disparage EIRMC too much because there are great people working there, but I can tell you from experience that I would much rather go back to Mountain View. read more

Okay so here is my complaint. Normally I would give Mountain View Hospital a 5-star rating, however my experience with the billing department this last week has been unacceptable. I received a call from a collections agency that the Hospital had turned my bill over to collections. How could they turn us over to collections when I haven't even received a bill yet and the surgery was just one month ago. I pursued the problem and they told me that a previous procedure happened in February and they sent the bill to my PO Box. What my PO Box? I said, I haven't had a PO Box in over two years.They proceeded to tell me that when my husband checked in for his surgery in May he gave them the PO Box number as a correct address. "Really," I said. Funny thing is he never even knew the PO Box number. I was also told that several phone attempts were made and that we didn't have voice mail. "What?" I exclaimed, I have only Sprint service and going back through my phone calls I do not see anywhere where I have received calls. And, no voice mail, really that is interesting as all my Sprint lines have voice mail and have never been full. I have a very hard time believing that it is true. "Why did the collections agency have my current address?" I asked. I was told they match it with the SSN. However, when talking to the collection agency they said that it came over from Mountain View Hospital with the address. I have tried to be kind and I talked to a supervisor about this issue and all I get is that they see my point of view but if I knew I had a procedure then I should have looked for a bill. Funny thing is that my insurance is such that it pays a portion prior to my deductible starting so I never even knew the bill had not been paid. (I will take the blame for my thinking of the situation.) Talk about frustrating. My advise to anyone is to make sure that when you visit Mountain View Hospital you ensure you have the correct address on file and have them delete any previous addresses. Talk about an outstanding Hospital! For years I thought it was policy to make the customer wait for a minimum of two hours for anything. At Mountain View I was treated wonderfully and all the help. From addmissions to each department I was treated as I was the only person there, I was escorted to the department not just told where to go. Immediately had heated blankets for my legs and then they stayed with the time schedule with no run around. This should be everybodies hospital of choice. Outstanding service. I went to Mountain View to get my gallbladder taken out. It was way overpriced, and we received our bills about 6 months after the surgery, so we had no idea or way to plan on when we were to receive those bills. We received a call one day from Mountain View, saying we owed about $1300. I was confused, because we had paid all the bills we had received. When I asked them what it was for, they said they didn't know. Why would I pay $1300 when I don't know what it's for? I left a review on their website, and the owner of Mountain View called me the next day. He told me that he understood, and that he would do everything he could to help me out, and that he would call me that week. I never received a call back, and received no help. Finally, I decided to email him. I got a reply, and it was a forward of him asking his secretary to "please just take care of this" for him, and all I got was a picture of the bill. That's the help that I get? I felt he was very dishonest, and just telling me what I wanted to hear. I was very disappointed. read more

This hospital and its secret contract with some doctors is corrupt. I have gave up one medical place to follow a good doctor, unbeknownst to me was not only would my husband and I pay a co-pay but surprise surprise when Mountain View sends a bill for $120 for both my husband and myself. In my law book this seems to be a conflict of interest, wait but it is a nasty little secret! To add fuel to my fire on their rating page a huge Mayo Clinic logo is spread across the page. I have been see at the Mayo Clinic and I guarantee you that that facility is so far ahead of the Mountain View Hospital. The Mayo brothers fought courts, doctors, hospitals, and threat to life to stay away from sharks like Mountain View Hospital. I have never in my 65 years ever come across such corruption! A message to Mountain View I will use every avenue to discredit them. Oh wait the web page mentioned they had 42 beds! Go figure they shouldn't even be classified as a hospital. read more
