I was present for the tests or to receive information after the tests. The doctors and support staff were very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They easily answered my questions in as full detail as I needed and treated me with respect. As I was present while some of the tests were performed I felt they tried to enroll me as an interested party and explained as the test progressed. I never felt like an outsider. Testing can be quite stressful. The doctor and support staff worked to minimize the stress. I like how Mountains View Hospital conducts health care.

I had the opportunity to spend a significant part of this year evaluating the Idaho Falls/Eastern…read moreIdaho medical system. My spouse drove me to IFCH ER. I walked in, stating, "I think I'm having a heart attack." They immediately took me in and after the obligatory blood pressure, iv, and such, four doctors came in. The cardiologist, Dr. Rhodehouse, stated I was having a heart attack, and the other three doctors started working with me, and then things got fuzzy. I was told I got an angiogram, but they were already prepping me for stent insertion. The angiogram results caused an ER professional to tell everyone to discontinue the prep, and told me my three blockages couldn't be handled by stents, I'd need a CABG (cabbage, I'm not a fan!) (coronary artery bypass graft - yep, open heart surgery). That required teamwork - I'd have to go to EIRMC - the hospital a couple of blocks away, which is tricky given I'm in the middle of an active heart attack. I think it's obvious that I truly admired everything happening (what I can remember of course) and everyone got an "A+" for their efforts.

I recently had two scopes done, one esophageal and then a colonoscopy. I am waaaay past the…read morerecommended age for the colonoscopy---so my blood pressure was a little high. But within a few minutes of checking in I felt listened to, cared for, respected, and secure that I was in good hands. The sedation caused the usual loopy responses as I came out, but again, I have no lingering feelings of embarrassment. I only remember kind, soft, patient voices. Grand Teton Surgical Center is an excellent resource in our area. My Team were Kristen, Jeremy, and Connie----to the best of my memory. Thank You.

If your okay with the feeling of being unwelcome and dreary surrounding and an unfriendly staff then there perfect for you. But if your wanting something comforting and a staff who actually seem like they care this is not the place for you. Mountain View you need to pay as much attention to staff at the main hospital as you do here they definitely need it.
