I hope whoever came up with central scheduling needs a biopsy. After waiting for a call back with…read morethe date and time of my appointment, I called, told whoever answered the phone I'm an attorney and asked if I need to sue the crap out of them to get an appointment. Turns out, I had an appointment only no one told me. I go for my appointment for the biopsy and was told they weren't going to do the biopsy because they needed a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound first. I said that I had very carefully and deliberately asked central scheduling if there is anything I needed to do before the biopsy and was told no. I was then told that they don't know much in central scheduling. And whose fault is that? Why aren't these people trained? I had to wait an additional week for the biopsy. Then, two weeks later, I was told the radiologist, who apparently never looked at the images prior to the biopsy, wanted more images. Turns out, there are two more lumps which could have been biopsied had this incompetent radiologist bothered to look at the images. Next, she tells me she's pretty sure the lumps are benign but come back in 6 months to see if the lumps have grown. I'm supposed to bet my right breast on "pretty sure?" And why wait until they are bigger before removing them? I'll be going to the New Mexico Cancer Center in Albuquerque even though it requires a 3.5 hour drive each way. I'm too disgusted by how I've been treated to trust anyone local.

I went into the ED yesterday afternoon for chest discomfort being that I have past cardiac issues. Upon my arrival and the staff being notified about the chest discomfort I was told to wait in the waiting area until they have someone available for vitals etc. I waiting about 40 or so minutes just for vitals and an EKG. I was then sent out to wait an hour or more to be taken to a room next to the nurses station. While there, they put on the vitals cuff and pulse ox but didn't even bother to have me connected to the leads / monitor. Their Accredited Chest Pain Center must not be from the ED at all and another part of the facility. While waiting another few hours for blood work or even be seen by a physician I noticed employees (unsure if RNs, PCTs, etc) just chatting away and eating at the nurses station. I saw about 3 nurses doing all the work and honestly felt bad for them. After a couple more hours of waiting, I decided I would leave AMA and follow up with my cardiologist and another medical facility. I definitely wouldn't recommend this medical facility to anyone at all. I understand it's an ED and it gets busy at times, but for someone with past cardiac issues to wait for so long is ridiculous. The MV standing ER on north main is a lot more professional and attentive to their patients - not the main campus.

She asked me why I had come to the Emergency room. I explained the problem with my glucose level and the number of insulin pumps that I had gone through in 24 hours. The Doctor said she would be back. When the Doctor returned, she told me that there was nobody in the Emergency room who dealt with diabetes or insulin pumps. I asked what about the rest of the hospital, I was told that they have all gone home for the weekend. She said she was going to arrange for me to be discharged. I was upset, so I placed a call to the hospital administration, and was told that they would look into it. Shortly after the call, a Nurse Practitioner came to see me. She checked out my Insulin pump controller and went to make a phone call to my Diabetes Doctor, who's office was closed for the weekend. She eventually spoke to a Diabetes Doctor she knew. The Nurse Practitioner returned, telling me that my insulin pump was malfunctioning. I was told about the diet I should eat over the weekend, until I could get in contact with my Diabetes Doctor on Monday. I was eventually discharged from the hospital, without any help for the large swings in my glucose levels and no means to administer insulin. I should have been admitted over the weekend to get my glucose levels under control. Basically, the Emergency Room Dr. Ponce de Leon and the Nurse Practitioner left me in a very dangerous situation.

Was visiting family in Las Cruces from back east and unexpectedly spent 5 hours here on a Thursday…read more My sister was experiencing tightness in her chest, fatigue and dizziness. I had never been here before. When we arrived it looked like a fairly typical urgent care, with the usual small-ish waiting room, with about 8 people waiting and with a television playing something borderline inappropriate and way too loud. At check in, as soon as they heard my sister's symptoms, they brought her back into a room and brought in an eKG machine. Then they took her to another room for a chest x-ray. Then they allowed me back with her as they took her to a room that looked like a hospital room. They got her on heart and b/p monitors, drew blood, put her on IV fluids and we waited for test results. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Later they did a CT Scan. I was impressed by the capabilities of this facility. The staff members were excellent. Everyone was competent and kind. Of course waiting for test results is always annoying and the time ticks by slowly, but if you have to endure that kind of thing, this was a decent place to do it. In any event, happily all her tests were negative for a heart event. The doctor made clear recommendations for follow up tests for her with a cardiologist. And they sent us on our way. I would not wish upon anyone our experience, but Mountain View made it better than it might otherwise have been, and for that I am grateful.

They tested me but did not do an exam at all. I apparently could not hold my tongue out properly and the lady was very rude about it. Even with this being the only place open other than main hospitals I will take my chances elsewhere. Being diagnosed improperly and not being thoroughly checked. I also had to wait over an hour for my results when I know strep results only take 15 mins. I went the next day to a different urgent care and sure enough I was strep positive. Had I not gotten a second opinion it could have led to something worse. I was also given an antibiotic for once a day at three days. It was the lowest form to be effective for strep. I was just given this medicine as a hush hush and leave and don't ask questions.
