Legacy Farm is not only a home to the horses and goats and cats and dogs that live there, but it…read morebecomes a home to the humans too. It's truly a place that you can walk into and think "This is where I belong". It is a small barn with a humongous heart. All of the staff- Barn manager, barn owner, instructor, and volunteers- are all very agreeable, kind, and understanding. It offers lessons $30 an hour for a group lesson or $35 an hour for a private lesson. Also, there is leasing; it's full-leasing- that means you get to come whenever you want and ride whenever you want (when staff is available), and just about everything else- for $450 a month ($50 discount if registered before May 30) as well as boarding- your horse will be assigned his/her own paddock with other buddies and a stall if desired, he/she will also be fed and well taken care of by staff, and there is a discount if your horse is allowed to be used in lessons. It is home to a regional Saddle Seat champion; a gorgeous chestnut Morgan gelding named Maple Corner Passion. He was the very first horse at the barn, and he's a real sweetheart. I am one that takes lessons and volunteers there, and he is "my" horse (I lease him and care for him and absolutely, positively LOVE him!) and he is also loved by many others. I highly recommend this farm to anyone and everyone who has a PASSION (ha ha) for horses!!! Come by and check it out for yourselves, you will not be displeased!

I was a bit nervous at first taking lessons, since I had no idea which places would be good There are soooo many places around the western Mass area, so it can feel overwhelming But I'm so glad I came here first for lessons! Plus, it's only 5 minutes by car for me, so very convenient!! My instructor, Mara, was super friendly Not only did she teach me how to ride, but the first half of my lesson was actually becoming familiar with all of the horse's materials. She is extremely knowledgable and walked me through everything step-by-step. Plus the barn and everything around it is immaculate, sparkling clean! I was blown away. The horses are also well groomed, happy, and healthy. I'm definitely coming back here for lessons!!

It took me a long time to find the right barn when my family moved to MA a few years ago. Infinity…read moreEquestrian was worth the wait. Laura Etzel is a talented, gentle and kind horse woman with a lifetime of experience and the vibe at her barn reflects that. The other trainers are wonderful as well and the horses receive the care and attention they deserve. School horses are given just as much consideration and students are taught that riding isn't just about your time in the saddle- it's about caring for your horse, their needs, your tack, and being mindful of the rest of the people and horses at the barn. The kids and students here are kind and friendly, no snooty antics or cliques. Truly a team/family.
