The small restaurant is known for building your own burgers but I wasn't prepared for how you were to build it. The hardware store itself was nice and one of the largest Ace's I have been in but again, this is about Munchies. They have the menu at the register and prices for the food was decent. I thought that after paying that they would make burger for you but that's where the fun begins. You grab a container that holds the bun and then move to the fridge that has the raw burger patty, which was covered and sealed and if you ordered a cheeseburger, the cheese as well. You then go to the counter to season your burger with any seasonings you like and then you place the burger patty into the grill and the buns in the toaster oven. While your lunch is cooking, they have a sink to wash your hands. Once the burger and buns are cooked, they'll drop into an area where you pick them up with tongs into your container. Once you have your burger you then move to an area where you put whatever toppings you want on it. I also got the cheese curds and with drink, the total was around $12. The food was good and while this was a new experience, it was kind of fun. The ladies that were working the counter were nice enough to help us out as my friend and I were a little perplexed. If you're looking for a unique experience where you truly make your own burger, then come and check out Munchies.

We were greeted by a couple of employees working in the front and were asked if we needed help. They and what I guessed was an off-duty manager gave me the location and who to talk to in that department. We were looking for frosted glass, which they didn't have in stock but could order. But they did have TWO different methods to make glass look frosted. I did talk to the department head and he helped me find what they had. They had a paint to create the frosted look, as well as, a contact paper that looks frosted. The contact paper looked easier and, since it wasn't permanent, would be good enough. My husband also found some items he had needed but never found. Their inventory is great. It is always enjoyable to walk around and explore all the items they have. I would definitely go back to Larsen's Ace Hardware and recommend them highly. I've always liked Ace Hardware and this store lives up to the quality I expect.
