This place was lots of fun! I really loved the Birds of Prey section, definitely cool to see those majestic birds. It's wasn't too busy which was nice. The horses were kinda boring and there were no bisons. The whole horse area was kinda smelly (which is unsurprising haha) Checked out most of the trails: The creek one had way too many bugs so we turned back but it's was shady and quiet which was lovely. The lakeshore trail was very exposed to the sun which sucked but the scenery was lovely and there were a bunch of monarch butterflies. The whole area was a blast but in hindsight I wouldn't go back on such a hot and sunny day. read more
This place is a gem. The birds of prey there are awesome! They get really close to the front of there cage and are amazing species. Then you got the horses, and during Halloween a spooky walk. The barn is now open and they have many other animals. Came here during maple syrup season and they have the trees tapped and sap boiling. Wonderful trails. And let's say the kids play area is reggio inspired. Can't wait to come back. read more
Came for Autumn and Halloween activities. I was impressed with all they had. Halloween activities included the haunted barn, face painting, coloring and crafts. Autumn activities included a hay fort and a tractor for pictures. We saw the raptor show and all the rescue birds. Rounded out the day at the observation tower, the play barn and setting the sheep. A full morning. read more

I made a day trip with only the expectation of there being decent hiking trails and rescued birds of prey to see. The rescue birds are impressive! I saw at least twelve species in their own enclosures freely viewable along a guided pathway. These are all exquisite birds of prey, I never realized so many are locally naturally occurring. Each resident has its own life history profile clearly posted, a great touch to spread awareness of their situation in Ontario! There are demonstrations of their skills in a show at certain times. Being the late night yelper I am, I slept in and arrived too late to catch a show. I covered about half the trail system via the "blue" lake side trail, and I did not find the scenery noteworthy. Perhaps the "red" trail is more scenic. Glad to say the birds of prey exhibits made my trip worthwhile! Note: cross the railroad crossing gate to access the trails. There are several scheduled events on signs around the site that might be worth looking up for your interest. The drive is about a half hour to forty minutes from Toronto. read more
