Short review: Overpriced, dry, cold cookies.
Long review: I had an unwelcome feeling as soon as I walked in. The employees were already cleaning up despite it being 45 minutes before closing time. The cookies were stacked in glass jars and looked unappetizing.
I ordered a simple chocolate chip cookie. It was $3.50!! They have signs that say "NO CREDIT!!" But the employee told me it was okay and let me swipe my card. So clearly they are lying about not accepting it because they don't want to pay the fee. When the cookies are $3.50 a piece, I think they can afford it.... Plus, this place is popular with travelers who often only have credit cards!
I was not offered to have the cookie warmed up. It was served cold. It looked like it had barely been baked because the chocolate chunks weren't melted into the cookie. They were hard pieces on top. Weird.
The flavor was bland. The consistency was dry. It tasted like it had been made a week ago.
As I was tasting my cookie while sitting next to the window, a man walked by on the sidewalk outside. He walked very slowly and stared at me the entire time. As a solo traveler, I am tired of being harassed, so I gestured "What??" at him. He stopped in his tracks and approached the window and gave me a nasty look. Then, he walked inside the store and proceeded to verbally harass me. He said he knew an employee and he was actually looking at her. So then why did he lock eyes with ME and give me a creepy smile? I looked to the employees for help but they just giggled and smiled at him.
I felt so uncomfortable and upset. I had only taken one bite of the cookie but I did not want the rest. I stood up and left.
I can not recommend this place. The cookies taste like sand and the atmosphere is uncomfortable. read more
