So i'm a bit of a gym rat / fitness freak and i've been going to this gym since I moved to the area…read moreabout a year ago. It's in a great area and the best thing is that it's open 24 hours a day, which is perfect for me. Over the last few years, due to the recession, we have seen a lot of these cheap gym chains sprouting up and I usually go with the saying 'you get what you pay for'. Now where that's usually proved me right for the most part, it's completely untrue with this gym chain. Monthly rates are dirt cheap, usually around £20 and the gym has everything you could want and need in a gym - state of the art equipment, full range of free weights, stretching areas, changing rooms, classes and PT sessions. Notice I said gym and not HEALTH CLUB. When I go to the gym I like to TRAIN not swim, jacuzzi, play tennis, steam room, spa or play tennis. If that's what you want then this place is not for you, as it hasn't got any of them and you want somewhere like VIRGIN ACTIVE or DAVID LLOYD and the price that comes with it (upwards of £65 per month plus joining fee). When I joined this gym I was shocked at how cheap it was a month as I would have gladly paid double every month as that's what I was expecting to pay at least. It's clean, nicely decorated and has everything you would need and more in a gym. A few recommendations - - Take full advantage of the 24 hour services. I would say to not train after work 6-10pm on weekdays as you will not be able to do what you need to do in less than 2 hours so you may as well not have gone. I go before work during the week and sometimes at weekends and have no problem using the equipment I need. - They don't have a wide range of classes so take a look at what they have on the website and see if they do things you like if thats a factor for you. - Don't get PT sessions here. I've trained athletes and know bad trainers when I see them. Apart from a few, most of the trainers here recycle their sessions and don't make sure their clients are doing the exercises correctly. I think they care more about their money than helping them. Or if you do want sessions here send me a message and i'll recommend the good ones and I promise I don't know any of them personally to just be giving them your business! Apart from those minor points if you live local and are looking for a gym I thoroughly recommend this place!

Always has been clean for me, and the other patrons are a nice cross-section (read: not full of gym rats). PT professionals I have not seen to be amazing for the price - they seem more just like the contractors who didn't have a job elsewhere - and they cost 50 to 80 an hour typically. Better to head to Pure Fitness or to another big London PT house for that price (and maybe get medical insurance to cover it). The nautilus machines and free weights are plentiful during non-peak hours, though can get a bit crowded with the afterwork crowd. Either way, the gym is great value for money if you're within walking distance.

I received a…read morefree visit to Fitness First in Queens Park. and after visiting that gym, i was left feeling very disappointed. I conducted a google search for gyms in the area, and Fit4less appeared. I called ahead to ask if the gym had a few key requirements. I was greeted by a very friendly women, who assured me they had everything i'd need. So i agreed to visit the location in Kilburn. The gym is quite big, and has everything you'd need to get in a good workout. It has a squat rack, a smith machine, a bench press, an incline and decline bench press, and tons of benches. It also has multiple cardio machines, ranging from treadmills to bikes, to ellipticals. They also have TRX bands set up for use. The bathrooms are small, yet clean. The only thing missing from the females change room is a full length mirror. The staff are friendly, and helpful. The only issue i have had is waiting for the squat rack. The price is the best part. Fit4Less is half the price of Fitness First, its opening hours are much better, and all in all, its a much better gym!

The pilates classes are…read moreabove average for London, meaning they actually have folks trained in pilates, not personal trainers who happen to have dabbled in pilates. The class registration process is a nightmare. Website registration was down and glitchy for more than 4 weeks; the class timetable navigation is super clunky. Constantly having to call to pay, call to book, became too much of a pain, especially when the phone would ring for hours with no one picking up. Too bad. I'd really like to continue being a client, but given the pain to try to get into classes, I'd rather bring my business elsewhere. Fix your site!

Our pre and post-natal classes cater for expectant mothers, we also run a Mum's club, crèche and kids classes. All classes are designed so you can drop by any time and try something new, or get fit by doing something you normally wouldn't (like Bend it like Barbie or Jane Fonda style aerobics). We created Frame because we believed getting fit shouldn't be a chore. In fact, we reckon if done right, getting fit could actually be heaps of fun especially when it's coupled together with hanging out with your mates and a more laid-back approach - and that's still our general ethos. If you like to book in advance we have a top-up card system which gives cheaper class rates, you can be a member or just rock up, it's totally up to you, because different things suit different people. To make it super easy we have an App so you can book into classes from wherever you are.

When I started, I could barely do one proper push-up and now I am in double digits. The workout can be as tough or as light as you want it to be as the exercises bodyweight-based and the trainers will help you to modify or up the challenge. The martial arts is just one element of the training and is something that makes this boot-camp more fun than other boot-camps around. The trainers are highly achieved athletes in their own right and it is a privilege to be trained by them. They are always very professional, very invested in what they are doing, friendly and focused on everyone doing the exercises in correct form. I did not know what to expect when I first signed up for a class as I had no experience in martial arts whatsoever, but more than a half year later, I am really glad that I did! I find it empowering to learn how to use my body more effectively, defence techniques and more about martial arts in general without feeling intimidated due to lack of experience. It's a great way to let off some steam! :) The classes can be booked online on a pay-as-you-go basis which is really convenient for busy people like myself.
