They prepared me for surgery both physically and mentally. They explained to me what to expect as far as pain and strengthening and what I needed to do in order to get back to where I wanted to be after surgery. My first complaint is that when I got the invoice, I called with a billingquestion. I called on October 16th and they did not get back to me until October 23rd. The concerns I wanted to discuss were regarding my 2nd & 3rd appointments. I was billed significantly higher for the first appointment, which totally made sense because it was an evaluation. The other 2 appointments were not billed the same yet they were identical appointments. I was there for 1 hour and they put ice on my neck/back, they massaged it and they watched me do my exercises. The woman in billing (she was nice) said the notes stated that at one of the appointments it took me a few minutes longer to complete my exercises. I find this so sleezy. SO SLEEZY!!!! I was there for 1hr, no longer. Whether it took 18 or 22 minutes for the exercises, I was still there for 1 hour. They end with the massage so clearly that was cut short in order to get me out of there within 60 minutes. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. I could never trust them as far as billing goes. Make sure to review yours closely.

Eight weeks later the full leg cast was removed and my leg came out like a noodle. I was nervous if I'd ever walk normally again. I was matched with Matt O'Rourke at St Jos rehab (Nashua NH) and he was the PERFECT fit for my severe injury!! He teaches PT at Simmons College in Boston and REALLY knows his stuff!! He is a great listener, observer and detail oriented with action plans. He gave me targeted exercise-homework after each visit which accelerated my progress. I entered PT in a wheelchair and four months later, I was able to fly to Europe (lots of walking) and a month after that, get on a boat to a remote Maine island for lots of hiking -- oh, and I was able to walk/hike 10K-16K steps a day on the trips. Chris was great! I went to my first session using a walker followed in a week by a cane and then in three weeks using nothing for external support. Chris was the consummate professional. challenging me to do more but never more than I could do. he was supportive and understanding . My fears of what rehab could be were quickly displaced and the results spoke for themselves. He developed a personalized course of action that got me back on track without surgery. But be aware, keep very accurate accounting of your copayments and make sure you get a receipt for every visit and keep them! The accounting process is very glitchy and I was sent invoices multiple times to pay for visits that were paid at time of service. When I would present bank information that supported that payment, I was asked to prove another payment date. This happened over 4 times, the last statement was for service in the summer of 2024. Over 18 months old. This post makes me very sad. I have tried all other ways to resolve this issue. As a fixed income senior, I find this experience to be too time consuming and discouraging to resolve. I paid double for the treatment I received just to end the frustration. I won't go back.
