This was one of my stops.Firstly how does a legendary video rental place that has been around for years have no reviews? This is baffling. It's small with tons of selection and feels very old school. Register is a very high counter and myself being short I appreciated the comedy that he couldn't hear me ask questions but over all nice dude. Cheap previously viewed videos. Pics of some that I am contemplating. I love the interaction of renting videos, I am still one of the few whom rents video and this guys collection is awesome. I was reminded of movies that I need to see sooner rather than later and some underdog gems that require my viewing.

Plus they have DVD, Blu-ray and even laserdisc. Counter gent was an old school movie geek like myself and was super fun to chat movies and the like with. I even headed off to the new sales Videomatica store afterwards and since I bought very little, went back to purchase more including a lessor-seen but reasonably priced Atom Egoyan collection of early films. (They covet the greats!) This store has it all in both rentals and sales - both of which are reasonable. LOVE THIS STORE!!!!!

Late charge (over 7 days for regular titles) is just 50¢/day.

The adult section is blocked off, of course, but you still probably wouldn't want to take kids here. Curious little buggers. On the regular movie side of the store, they have every movie imaginable, and it's up to date too - with stuff I didn't even know had been released on video. The staff are extremely knowledgeable - movie geeks in the best sense of the word. And unlike those other big-chain stores, Tom's is open 24 hours a day. It's a pretty interesting place to go in the middle of the night.

First and foremost are the Jukeboxes, old delightful automated DJ machines that take everything from loonies to nickels. One of the Jukeboxes is fashioned to look like the back of a hot pink convertible, perfect for making your living room look like Pop Tate's Soda Shop in Archie Comics. Most of the other ones can be summed up by referencing the opening montage for Happy Days. There is also a wide variety of pinball machines, with every co-opted franchise from Star Wars to Kiss, and a few video game consoles that have been manhandled by fastidious fingers for over 40 years. But it's a high price to pay for nostalgia, with items ranging from several hundred dollars to several thousand. If you do miss Frogger that much though, it's the right place to go, just make sure that you have a truck nearby so you don't have to maneuver the console through traffic.

When my redneck brother had a heart attack and was recovering from surgery I knew that a few seasons of Trailer Park Boys would cheer him up and Joey gave me 3 seasons for a week for just $3!
