Mowbray Cricket club is one of the oldest in the area, founded in 1955. It also boasts a fully Manicured grass pitch in its playing feild (one of only a few in the northen tasmaina). It is also widly known as the first club for Ricky Ponting one of Australia's sporting greats. If you are looking for place to train or a club for a budding cricket juniour. Mowbray Cricket Club is certinly worth a look. read more

A place for a cold beer at anytime! This is the old typical bowling club with competitions running…read morethroughout the week. A few younger people are involved in playing but the general age is over 70. The greens are well kept, people know one another well and there is generally a nice atmosphere here, it has a long history starting in 1883.
