But there is really not much special or spectacular about this park, besides the apparent ease with which you can see peacocks roaming around. It's not a bad park. But it's not that great either - certainly not for the drive out from Launceston. If you are looking for things to do in Launceston, I suggest you make the trek to Cradle mountain, or stay in the city.

We had Luke as our guide. He was very educated, friendly and welcoming he's been here for three years. You are taken into different rooms and shown different aquariums. As they are salt water creatures and do not have any other need other than the roped and large nets to hold on to. I feel this makes a better experience to see the creatures and absorb more of the experience. The gift shop was great and they are very informative about helping those who want to raise and keep seahorses for themselves as they also sell them internationally and across Australia. Definitely worth bringing the family or your partner and get involved and learn about the seahorses.

To be fair, their main business is breeding seahorses for the pet trade and their focus is on having healthy, happy seahorses. I'm glad we went and experienced the World of Seahorses, but it's not something I would do twice.

We were greeted by a very polite and informative ticketing lady who gave us a good brief of the things we can see. I was grabbed by apprehension on the first leg of the chair lift but once you are in the air with legs dangling over nothing and the lakes and trees below you, you learn to take it easy by making sure you fidget or move less or not at all. I survived the first leg and the second one too - else I wouldn't be doing a review. On alighting from the chair lift, we were greeted by peacocks! They were really not aggressive at all and even allow you to pose close to them for pictures. Just make sure you don't grab the birdies. They were everywhere including the restaurant where they would take up spaces on the tables, chairs and fences of the restaurant. I believe they were waiting to be fed or finding the smallest crumbs of food that you dropped. There are also quick snack bars and other restaurants here. Overall, the chair lift, the walking trails and the up close interaction with the peacocks should attract you to visit if you like nature.
