It was a basic service, but I felt they cheated me. They did not soak my cuticles before trimming, just went in dry. They also did no hand massage, or even lotion. They also did not clean under my nails. As for pedicure, they barely touched the nail part before slopping polish on them and left so much oil on my feet, I slid around my flip flops on my way back to my room. I did not feel relaxed after the service, I felt cheated.

The view cannot be beat; you look outward to the most gorgeous view of Gull Lake - stunning! However, if your priority is a quality service then skip the manicure for sure. My manicure did not last 4 hours before it started to chip. By 24 hours, I had only three fully intact nails with polish. The nail tech used Dazzle Dry, which peeled within hours. HOWEVER, I strongly suspect the peeling occurred because the nail tech did not have me wash my hands after applying oil. Also, my pedicure is going strong with the same Dazzle Dry color (no oil). I do not expect any nail polish could perform with oil being laid down as a foundation. Net, it began peeling immediately. I suspect the nail tech is new to the profession based on the oil error, haphazard filing and service length (my appt ran 30 mins long). On the positive side, she was absolutely lovely to converse with (5-star for friendliness!). In fact, she gave us many dining pointers that led to the best meal we had at Classic Grill. I was there for the experience, so I did not complain. BUT, my experience is worth sharing in case your priority is a great nail service; you will not find it at The Spa at Madden's (at least not with the 2024 nail tech). To add, I selected a topper for my toes, but the same nail tech ran out of time to apply it, so I was sent off without the desired topper, and my massage therapist provided an awkward public scolding for my service running long. Main/Pedi - Service = 0, Experience = 5, Total Score = 2. Deep tissue massage - I gave explicit instructions upfront for the massage therapist to spend the majority of the 90-minute service on my neck and back. She saved my back until the last 10-15 minutes. Also, the pressure was definitely not deep tissue. Service = 1, Experience = 3, Total Score = 2 As a visitor to Madden's Spa over 18 years I wanted to LOVE my "spa day", BUT it was an epic fail, especially given I paid nearly $600 for my services and a pedicure for my SO. Please do better next season, The Spa at Madden's. 2024 didn't live up to my past experiences and arguably wouldn't meet anyone's expectations. I want to return in 2025, but if there isn't a substantial improvement it will be my last visit to The Spa at Madden's. Thank you for listening to my feedback! I hope changes will be afoot for 2025. There was no gym available, their exercise room is not enough to be considered a gym Capital vacations has ruined this place. Such scammers. They are expecting everyone to pay for the renovations.

Fortunately they did have my appointment, a Kristen was able to take me in, the FIREWALL had not blocked my email, my PARANOIA was not founded. And nobody even implied the mix-up was my fault I was PRESSUMED INNOCENT. They said customers are not THE EXPENDABLE ones, we have to treat them like STARS. WARS with them will not do us any good. The décor is different, possibly designed by COWBOYS. ALIENS could have played a hand in a few places, but I am not sure. There was a lady who let her little monster run around like crazy. I don't know what the AGE OF ADALINE was, but she needed a time out for sure. Finally they called 42, it was my turn, my hair was so long I felt like a FUGATIVE, so the BLADE RUNNER threw my hair was needed. However I found out that WHAT LIES BENEATH is THE DEVIL"S OWN grey hair. In one town of LA grey hair causes the HOLLYWOOD HOMICIE rate alone to increase by %25. But these folks here are real HEROES, they have a solution. If the grey is really bad, they can sell you a wig from K19. THE WIDOW MAKER, a heart attack, might hit someone you know if they see you with a crazy wig on. If you do have to go to a funeral, I agree with the advice of the folks at Hair Force One, and bring a MORNING GLORY, they are a more upbeat flower, which I think is nice. If the EMTs get there quick enough, they might be able to use the shock paddles, THE FORCE AWAKENS dead people sometimes. But GETTING STRAIGHT after a heart attack from a crazy wig is THE CONVERSATION nobody wants to have. Some guy named ZAMBRISKIE POINT ed that out after he joked about how the wig could be used as A TIME FOR KILLING Seriously though, Kristen did an awesome job and her salon is great.
