Firstly, this firm serviced my shutters for several years, expeditiously and professionally before I had them replaced. My only dissatisfaction was with the person who answered the phone for appointments. I had 7 hurricane windows installed in my almost 40-year-old condo. Everything from the estimate, to the product quality, to the installation was top quality. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm! Where these 1-star ratings come from is a mystery to me. Price: I received estimates for the same window from High Wind, at $ 8,400, and two other large, local window companies - $ 9,200 and $10,500.

We are on the fifth floor of a condo building and need service on those shutters which require a Bolson chair. This started back in February and still have not been serviced as of today. Larry, who is responsible for this part of service completely ignores your phone calls, texts, and emails. I have called the office and have complained numerous times and it doesn't change anything and I have never gotten a callback from the manager who I requested to give me a call. Hurricane season is getting close and we still have numerous shutters that are still not working. Larry is the sales person that you deal with when purchasing the shutters but then when you need service, don't expect any response from him, at least in a timely manner. Plus you will have to call, text and email numerous times and complain over a period of time before you potentially get a response. I regret using this company because now I have to worry about all service in the future. If we were in the middle of hurricane season and need service, I now will be concerned that he doesn't respond and it taking months for service. Remember that before getting shutters installed by this company. We are 4 months into not having these shutters fixed. Very disappointed in this company.

I had a poor experience with this company because of their dishonest billing practices. Please…read morerefer to Yelp for another user who had a similar experience. Summary: they surprised bill and over billed me and their final concession was still dishonest. Something to be aware of: They charge $257/hour for maintenance work and round up in hour increments. Be very clear about the work expected to be performed and the maximum price you'll pay. I approved a work order for $875 to replace shutter motor and what I thought included the maintenance of my shutters; the price included a 15% discount the company offered due to the recent hurricane (I had to ask for a discount though) but this work order didn't include tax. I received the bill after the work was completed but the amount was for $1,355 (without tax for some reason). That's a 55% increase, which came from two hours of labor at $257/hour and a slat hanger for $50. I approved the original work order assuming maintenance was included, but I was okay paying for added labor even though the original work order didn't include any estimate for it and their hourly rate is unfairly high (my opinion on the latter). But I had an issue particularly with the two hours of labor they charged. I called the office to question the two hours of labor and pointed out that the motor installation already included an hour of work per the original invoice (see picture). They took an hour of labor off the invoice but kept an hour of labor on the bill. I asked why they would charge me for an hour of labor when the tech was there for an additional 30 minutes and they said that they bill in hour increments. I pointed out that this wasn't laid out on the original invoice and furthermore it's unethical to bill this way. They once more lowered the invoice, but instead changed the labor performed to "trip charge" for home visit repair and diagnosis (see picture) after they told me they aren't like the competitors and don't charge for home visits; further, this came after they had already agreed to come out to fix the motor, so the tech was already there and a trip charge wouldn't make sense in this context. I ended up paying the bill because the difference between what the bill should've been and what they offered was $100 different, but it took multiple emails and a call or two to get there. Extremely disappointing experience. Please find another shutter company that bills its customers fairly. AHT has poor communication skills, and their billing practices are dishonest.

They all started with the same question: did we install them? If not, then they don't want to help. I calld Naples Shutter and what I was told was "bring them in honey, we'll fix them". Perfect. They did repair the shutter, replaced some bad louvers, and repainted it. I was very happy. However, when I installed it another louver became loose. I subsequently noticed another shutter had bad louvers as well. When I called to tell them the shutter they repaired failed at home, and I had another shutter to repair as well I was again told: " Honey, bring them in, we'll fix them". Unfortunately, due to travel I was not able to get back to them until almost a month later with both shutters. Nonetheless, I dropped them both off with notes about the bad louvers, and noted how one failed when I installed it. Shortly thereafter I was called and told they were both repaired. When I got them I was told there was no charge! I persisted, but they would not take any payment. Instead I was told, "We just want to make sure you're well. We're a family owned business, and we stand by our work". I was really taken by their integrity and pride of work. Naples Shutter is an honest, fair, reputable, straight-up, family owned business.
