If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I booked this company a few days ago for an event I have in April. Before booking, I carefully reviewed their cancellation policy multiple times. According to their website, it clearly states that cancellations made more than 108 hours (4.5 days) before the event can be done without penalty. Based on that, I sent them an email well in advance to cancel my booking. However, their response was that I would still be charged a 10% deposit fee. This is nowhere mentioned in the cancellation policy. Instead, they later sent me separate "booking" and "payment" policies--neither of which are labeled as cancellation policies. Naturally, when trying to understand cancellation terms, I referred to the section specifically titled "Cancellation/Refund Policy." When I tried calling to get clarification, my calls were ignored. Eventually, I was told that they plan to rewrite their policy in the future so others don't run into the same issue. That alone shows they are aware the current policy is misleading--yet they still refuse to honor what is actually written. At the end of the day, it feels like making $300 is more important to this company than being honest, transparent, and standing by their own policies. It's disappointing to see a business so willing to damage its reputation over something like this. I copied and pasted the cancellation policy directly from the website. This is what is states: "Cancellation/ Refund Policy You can cancel up to 108 hours (4.5 Days) before the event without penalty. If you wish to cancel after the 108-hour mark, you will forfeit 25% of the value of the total balance. If you cancel 84 hours (3.5 Days) before the event, you forfeit 50% of the total balance. If you cancel 60 hours before the event, you will forfeit 100% of the value of the total balance. Any items that have been already prepared or purchased for your event will be charged in full, regardless of the time of cancellation. Cancellation refers to any part of the booking, including, but not limited to, rentals, purchases, ingredient prep, and/or staff. Events that end earlier than initially invoiced are not eligible for a refund of unused time. If you cancel your event, you can still apply the deposit to a future event as long as it falls within 6 months of the original event." read more

Wow. Wow. A thousand times wow. Bare with me because this back story might be a little long, but I just don't have enough good things to say about Mr. Bartender. I just got married about a week ago, and as some of you may know, planning a wedding is one of the most stressful and painful things one can go through. You lose friends, gain grey hairs, and spend a ridiculous amount of money just to throw one big party, for reasons that to his day escape me. Our venue allowed us to bring in our own liquor and bar staff, so we shopped around to get a few quotes. My husband and I are huuuuge cocktail nerds, so having a well stocked bar was very important to us. We got quotes from a few of the bartending services claiming to serve craft cocktails. When we looked at the drink menus, the cheaper services were underwhelming. The more expensive services had great drinks but cost a king's ransom. We finally landed on Mr. Bartender, who gave us a reasonable estimate of somewhere in the middle. And that's when the wow started. Anthony was free for consultation any day, any time, for the several months leading up to the wedding. He helped us with choosing cocktails (we had 10 on our menu), beers, and wine, as well as the quantities for everything. Every detail and every recommendation was spot on, from how much staff, to how much ice, to the types of drinks. And thanks to Anthony's help, we saved a few thousand dollars from the initial estimate. We had 400 guests, so we were kind of worried there would be too long of a line. After the initial rush of guests, there was barely ever a line. And the drinks! UH-mazing! I received more compliments about the drinks then I did anything else that night. I've worked with Mr. Bartender dozens of times as an event planner, and I want to let y'all know these guys have the best drinks in the catering business. Period. They provide a high end service that'll turn up any special event. I've used them for weddings, bar mitzvah, bat mitzvah, celebrity events, birthday parties, corporate events... you name it. Their bartenders are fun and professional, and can handle anything behind the bar (within reason). Event's go smooth 99.999% of the time (nobody's perfect). The few times there were a hiccups, it came down to either: 1: Not enough planning time before the event date/ last minute changes. 2: Not following Mr. Bartender's suggestions during the planning phase. 3: Unrealistic expectations (i.e. being upset because one bartender serving 70 guests took a while to serve everyone. Shaken cocktails take time - Have you ever been to a bar?). The company is very busy, which is the only drawback since it may take a day or so for them to get back to you. Make sure you reach out in advance. A great party takes time to setup. Trust me, I'm an event planner :) 100% recommend. read more

I can't recommend Mr. Bartender highly enough. They were AWESOME. We organized a 400+ person party and they killed it from start to end. First of all, they have everything you need. Patio heaters, cocktail tables, storage tables, A BAR THAT LIGHTS UP! They even bring their own trash cans. They also bring literally everything you need to have good alcohol service at your party. It was honestly a huge relief to know that they had everything taken care of so I could focus on the million other things going on at our party. Second of all, these bartenders are LEGIT. Not only do their drinks absolutely kick a** but they were making stuff that wasn't even on the menu. And despite the fact that we had a very thirsty group, they were churning out the drinks and kept the lines short all night. Lastly, everyone was sooo nice. We had to change our layout a couple of times and they had to deal with one of our other vendors mistakes but they took it all in stride, never complained and did everything they could to make it work. I wish I could give them 6 stars. Or maybe 7. Will 1000% be using them again. read more

My partner hired Mr. Bartender for our holiday party. To be fair, I didn't want to hire an outside company, I just wanted to have some friends or friends of friends do it like we always have. Save some money and give it to people that I know. My partner really wanted something special this year so I agreed. I'm so glad I did! As far as I know the booking was simple and easy, but what really impressed me were the bartenders. The one I kept going to was named Matt. I'm sure it's a company thing, but he had a lot of really cool mixers and fresh ingredients. We had a few agreed upon pre-determined cocktails, but Matt was super accommodating to me and my friends who wanted to try new things with the stuff he had. He was very patient and more knowledgeable than I expected. The set up was professional, easy clean up and breakdown, they did it pretty quickly too. Will definitely use them again, couldn't recommend more. read more

Such a wonderful night. Too many great drinks. Obviously I enjoyed the service. Prices were moderate, but we're glad we splurged on a quality survace. At our event, we had a tricky guestlist. Very quirky and stiff-backed both present. Our worry was that the bartenders might not be able to "jive" with both crowds. In any case, we were wowed. During the night, we had a few... kerfuffles. Immediately the bartenders were able to identify and manage the alcohol for these guests. No way I would have caught that! Grateful for that for sure. Helping with some of the cleanup was unnecessary, but appreciated. Your bartenders were terrific and we hope they enjoyed the tip ;). Everyone should try a service like this at least once to see what it's like. Now it's on our "must have" list for future events. Anyways, that was a lot. Wow. These guys know what they're doing and they do it superbly. We used Anthony and his team for a party at our business and they exceeded expectations in every possible way. Extremely professional, easy to work with, an absolute pleasure to deal with. Anthony was very helpful with suggestions and we sorted out the venue details and bar needs with just a couple of quick phone calls & follow up emails to confirm everything. And that was it. EASY! I never had to deal with the bar again. They showed up promptly, set up quickly and efficiently, went right to work. When it was over, they packed up quickly and left no mess. The bartenders were courteous and entertaining, the bar was a huge success. Fantastic assortment of custom cocktails, our guests loved them, Mr. Bartender made our party a hit! We hired Mr. Bartender for my husband's 40th and I am very happy with the job they did! Although, they were a little late, they were coming all the way from Los Angeles and we live pretty far into Orange County. They charged me an extra fee for the length but it was very reasonable. At the party their staff was very kind and professional. They brought their own set up which came with a bar and all the stuff that comes with it. We were able to hire servers to help with our food as well. Mr. Bartender allowed us to choose from a list of craft cocktails to make our own menu. In the end, these cocktails were very good and very popular with our guests. read more

Its always been a dream of mine to get married on NYE and I'm so happy we had Mr. Bartender there to serve cocktails for it. It was so great of them to come out on a holiday and they were amazingly professional and friendly. Our drinks weren't particularly complicated and we ran out of alcohol for our event but the bartender took care of it and let us know exactly what (and how much) we needed to order to keep our guests happy. They also came out in the middle of the Omicron surge and were very professional about following our requests to keep everyone safe. My company had a holiday party and the Mr.Bartender staff was a joy to work with. The bartenders easily dealt with our rowdy crowd, while being fun to be around. We had them booked for 3 hours and they ended up staying an extra hour and a half, which was awesome. Matt was super easy to work with. There were a lot of obstacles thrown at them from our location being far away from the loading zone, to it being cold and having to be outside to serving champagne to 50 people at the door. They really helped to elevate the experience of our event and I would 100% use them again. read more

From beginning to end-- Mr Bartender was AWESOME! We hired them for a backyard bash for 40 people and they were the hit of the party. The cocktails were spectacular, the service was impeccable, and the business is run by a total pro. Anthony carefully walked us through everything -- picking cocktails, renting glasses and the bar, the set up and costs. It was a one stop shop and totally seamless. Mr. Bartender hosted our corporate holiday party last week. This is a huge event for our owner. He flies all his employees from all over the country to LA to enjoy themselves and celebrate. Mr. Bartender was more than up to the task. Their drinks were tasty and were made very quick. I don't think I saw a line at the bar all night! I live in Orlando so this wasn't the easiest thing to logistically plan but they were very easy to deal with and provided everything we needed. Fantastic bartenders and excellent cocktails. I had Mr. Bartender over for my cookout on the 4th. Everything was great. They brought their own bar, and did all the shopping for me. Anthony consulted me on which drinks would go great with our traditional Fourth of July barbecue and other fixins. We settled on a few whiskey drinks that Anthony came up with himself.
