Initially I called to make an appointment with Mauricio the owner, but he was booked. Not gonna lie, I'm happy he was cause I wouldn't have met Drake. I booked immediately and was not disappointed. Walking into the shop was a treat itself! Mr. Robert was there to greet me by name (I was the only booking at the time). He's so warm and friendly, he reminds me of an uncle. He gave me a tour of the shop which is beautifully decorated with murals on each wall that pay homage to Detroit's history and leaders. One side is a barber shop, the other a beauty salon with pedicure stations and a massage room. Later I step into Ms. Sanford's chair.
