My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We had a somewhat decent dinner. We had too much so I asked for a box to go. We unfortunately walked out without the box but noticed right away. I ran back in to get it. The waiter was there cleaning the table. He told me he already threw it in the trash. A $40 steak. What like 1 min? On family trip to Candle Lake and spent night in Yorkton. Was concerned of reviews but decided to give Mr Mikes a try. We were pleasantly surprised. Steaks and drinks were awesome. So was the staff. Our server Haley was friendly and efficient. Manager also pitched in and she was just as friendly and personable. Came in for supper after several mixed experiences. The owner Mike made things right last visit by producing IPA craft beer when no one else would. He said phone ahead and they likely could get it in the future. I phoned ahead today to no avail and no IPA today when I came in. The manager Chanal is really a horrible and unaccommodating manager and has a horrible attitude. horrible place ordered a salad how can you get that wrong well start with old rusty wilted lettuce ........ when brought to managers attention was told they buy same as I do from grocery store I stated would not buy lettuce looking like what I received and where is quality control anyone putting lettuce on a bowl can see what I received looked like I would be ashamed to serve anything like that to a guest paying or not He then stated they were busy but the servers were behind the counter more than they were on the floor and restaurant was 1/2 empty. Came to mikes here and we got Caesars that were "spicy" apparently but the fact was they were watered down with no flavor. The food was at best horrible I had a burger that was a charcoal. The steaks were mediocre and the service was slow. I recommend to anyone that thinks they are getting a good dinning experience from Mr.mikes will be very disappointed. read more

I have been consistently disappointed with the food at Mr. Mike's. Over the past 4 years I've been in a few times. After the first time it was because the person or people I was with wanted to go. In that time I've been served sour steak twice, deep fried scallops, and rubbery chicken. Most recently, I went with my brother for beef dips. The buns were laden with garlic butter and our fries tasted like the were cooked in old oil. I told the server but the kitchen was adamant that they had changed the oil. I'd guess that they had probably just cleaned it, by running it through a machine or that they recooked the fries. Regardless, they were gross. And with tip and tax it was $56 for two beef dips with gravy and water to drink. Don't waste your money. read more

I was in town over the weekend and stopped in at Mr Mikes for an early lunch. Our server was Sonia and she was fantastic, very friendly and kept the coffee flowing! I had the Steakhouse Bleu Burger - it was SO GOOD. Just the right amount of Blue Cheese that it was tasty but not over powering. The lodge chips and dip were a great side. We were in town on thanksgiving weekend. We were unsure where to eat and ended up pulling into the parking lot to decide where to go. Figured while we were here to give it a try. Glad we did! Ribs truly were fall off the bone amazing! The mikes burger was probably the best burger I have ever had. Last but not least the Mikes 'oh my' apple pie! Wow is all I can say. I enjoy going to this restaurant, but I do feel other "Mr. Mikes" in saskatchewan are better. Servers seem rushed and nervous when at the table, orders come out cold or not cooked enough. A few times I have ordered drinks and have had to wait until after I get my starter, that I get my drink. Drink glasses are sometimes sticky and drinks are too strong sometimes. I will be returning to the restaurant though as I do really enjoy the food they serve, it just needs a little tweaking. read more

Eagerly waited for Mr. Mikes to open. Yeah, not so much. We found the service all over the place from great, to having to chase down a server for our receipt, then her getting angry saying she gave it to me, she had not, not worth the tip she received, her service was terrible. The manager did give us a gift certificate for 25 dollars, which doesn't come close to the 47 I paid. We went again, my daughter really enjoyed the veggie burger, but at 14 dollars, kind of high priced. I like the mushroom burger, but on the only time we had take out, there was no mushrooms, paid the extra 4 dollars for air. Needless to say, the last time, when we were still in sight of the building, the question arose "Do you want to go to McDonalds". We had stake sandwiches and I swear, they were 1 inch by 2 inches long and 3 small onion rings. That is not a meal in anyone's book. Needless to say, Yorkton needs some serious revamping of their restaurants. There is just no where to eat in this town, either you get robbed or go home with food poisoning. read more

I come here often and the food is always great - definitely a fan of the steaks! The last time I was in the waitress told me about their new winter menu, I tried the 10 oz pork chop and it was a monster, so good! The staff are also very friendly so I always enjoy my visit! Worst service every... got ceased salad and no utensils for ten minutes.. absolutely butchered my salad. No flavour.. tasted like watered down Taziki sauce. Horrible how do u mess that up then I get my burger and fries. Eat like7 and decide they are under cooked... I complained.. said my food sucks.. didn't even try my burger.. not worth it. Sent back.. get rid even at half rice after 8 I'd never go back.. the manager came out to tell me there's been no complaints on Salad.. I told her go back and try.. she refused. Then told me she tried my fries and there's nothing wrong.. I told them I don't want to eat anything., I just drink beer.. I left immediately after manager got confrontational.. needless to say I'll never go back to any mr mikes thanks to this yorkton location... I drive truck , work long hours. All I wanted was good meal.. stick to mcdonalds yorkton.. it's greAt compRed to this crap. The attitude I got for complaining made me leave without tip and no more beers at this place. Rotten.
