However, over the years changes have crept in that haven't benefitted the member --giving no value added. One change was charging a check recipient $4.00 if the check he received bounced. They're already getting $35 (or more) from the writer, why penalize the victim? Online banking used to be very easy to use, and had nice features like a memo section for each transaction so you could categorize it to meet your needs--charitable donations, tax-related, etc. Now it is VERY cumbersome. It automatically assigns a category, and often gets it wrong. You can change categories, but it's a multiple step process and you have to do it for each transaction. You can add sub-categories, but not personal notes. THEN, to add insult to injury the system changes the categories back!! I was told by an AFCU representative this was done to make it more like the mobile banking app... well, it sucks! IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!! I'm seriously considering finding another place to bank...
