It's good pizza. The flavor is great and i like the crust. It is however way overpriced for the area but people pay it so, I wouldn't put that on them. It is a great pizza if love your pizza to be soaked with grease on top. Some like that, some don't. I would give this place a 3.8 based on the flavor, crust, how greasy it is, and the price. Scribs is a staple to Muskegon and has been for several years. The pizza is worth the hype and is always consistent. We also love to order the shrimp fries as a side. It is deep friend shrimp but they are just like fries! The pricing is fair and you get what you pay for. Scribs uses the finest ingredients and you can tell in every bite. We have only ever had the deluxe pizza and it is a delicious treat every time. Scribs has a handful of locations around Muskegon and they also offer delivery service which is a plus! I grew up and lived in Muskegon for 26 years and one of the biggest heartbreaks was having to wait to get a Scribs pizza only once per year. Anyone who has an ounce of complaint needs to understand that this is pizza in a completely separate category all it's own. If you want a crunchy cracker thin crust, go to New York. If you want a deep dish drowning in way too many gallons of tomato sauce, Chicago is a short trip around the lake. Bye.... we won't miss you. Mr. Scribs pizza is a wonderful experience that I have yet to see anyone in the country even come close to, and I've had it in most states. It's a thin crunchy yet juicy crust with an amazing sauce, decadent cheese, fresh veggies, and a sausage that allows you to taste the handmade goodness like nowhere else. Adding bacon to a deluxe pours on yet another layer of heaven that you wish you could never stop eating. I love my family to death but the experience of one of these beauties makes the whole 13 hour trip home once a year seem worth it in it's self. If you like greasy pizza, then you will like this place. We ordered a large pizza, half just cheese and half supreme. It was made correctly but full of grease. Their pizza dough has rosemary in it - which to me doesn't go on a pizza. I'm all for trying to make a pizza unique but adding a French herb to the crust is a little too unique. My son ordered breadsticks but these tasted stale - as if they were freezer burned then heated up in a microwave. The people who work there need to learn phone etiquette. The guy who took our deliver order was snippy and only answered in monosyllables. Don't be in a hurry to get your pizza either. It took them an hour to make and deliver our order. So, no. We won't be ordering from Mr Scribs again. I'll take Little Caesars over this place anytime! read more

We like their greasy pizza but were in the mood for fish last night. We thought we'd try the fish at Scrib's We waited 20 minutes for fish that was disgusting. Inedible. Gross. Mushy and not evenly fried. It had to have been really low quality. Cannot imagine where they got it or why they'd serve it. Yuk. read more

Mr. Scribs serves up a great thin-crust pizza. It is much like the pizzas served at many Chicago area pizzerias or neighborhood taverns. The trouble is the staff (at the North Muskegon location) are universally smart alecks. In my many visits, I can honestly say that I never observed anyone there being friendly or welcoming to customers. And, behind the counter the loud, free flowing banter is not rated G, in fact the F-bomb is sprinkled as liberally as the mozzarella. And then to be considered is the workers' disregard for hygiene. The person taking your order (dirty fingernails and all) may then venture to the production line and make your pizza - and no, gloves are not used here. And, while hairnets may be old school, they might be a good idea given that female workers' long locks flow and wave freely. So, is the pizza good? It is. Are customers treated well? Sorry, but if you lock your doors at 8:30, then you're closed at 8:30, not 9:00 (as advertised on your sign). Scrib's has the best pizza around, but to avoid the small-town hours of this particular location, your best bet is to go a few miles south to one of the locations in Muskegon. read more
