I utilized Mr. Tent's rental services over the past five (5) years; however, my most recent experience (3 days ago) was soooo frustrating and the service was horrible! I recently rented a tent, lights, dance floor, tables and chairs from Mr. Tent and was told the items will be delivered in the afternoon. Well the stated items were delivered several hours late, the company did not call to provide notice that they were running SEVERAL HOURS LATE. When Mr. Tent arrived at 5:00 p.m., the crew rushed to put down the dance floor which was left with grass protruding from the seams along one side of the dance floor, hammered a big metal nail steak in the middle of the walking path to the event's buffet causing a trip hazard, assured me that all lights were tested and working. When I requested that the move the nail steak a few inches away from the walking path, Mr. Tent's employee yanked the nail steak from the ground, moved it a few inches and began to loudly hammer the nail steak in the ground (he was clearly frustrated by my request). The only time Mr. Tent's employee was somewhat courteous was when I was making payment. Oh yeah they request you pay in cash so have a couple hundred dollars available for payment. The day of the event we turned on the lights and several of the lights were not working.
The next business day I called Mr. Tent to provide the stated feedback. During the conversation, Mr. Tent's employee was defensive, stated that he never promised an arrival time; however, they were scheduled to deliver the items by 2:00 p.m. I noted that they were 3 hours late from their scheduled delivery! Customers BEWARE -Mr. Tent's prices are fair, but be prepared to wait around for hours and they will probably treat you like CRAP! read more
