And this service is like ride share app, where they will pick you at the door and drop you off at the door. If you have a wheeler or in wheeler, no problems, you will get you in the vehicle safely and secure you safely. You have to qualify for the service and you have to go through an interview at the main building in downtown. I really appreciation the Metro Lift as it let me be independent on going to places in Houston safely and not relying on family or friends all the time. The downtown main building is also the Downtown Transit Center. You can also buy your Metro Lift paper ticket here and get a new ID here.

If you live 270 you've had a good length life and longer than average in most of the world. 290 might be a little bit on the long side, but personally I'm fine with that. Maybe we can even try and look 50 at 90. Now there's a challenge. Easily one of the worst highways imaginable in the history of the world, this is 290. I really don't like driving on 290 from the 610 all the way up to the distant suburbs. Once you get past Cypress, it becomes absolutely fine because at that point you're talking about going out into the countryside, and it's the Houston segment which has been under construction for what seems like the last 50 years that is a big problem, and I avoid it whenever I can. It's not as dangerous as 59 in terms of crash volume, but it's every bit as annoying and backed up, much like 45 north out of H-town.

But this roadway is wide, big lanes, and when I went over a weekend, there was little to no traffic! It was nice! My main complaint was that when I went, many of the entrance ramps were closed for some reason, making the commute even longer. My favorite thing about this roadway is that they have giant pictures of Texas, with bluebonnets in front of it along the bridges and overpasses! It looks nice! They could always raise the speed limit along here, since nobody seems to follow it.

The buses are torn up, passengers are rude and there is always a fowl stench emitting from someone. I've been passed by drivers waiting at a stop, harassed by drunks and even had to change busses once because somebody puked all over the place. The sound inside this is noise pollution. There is a loud blaring speaker belting out a constant loop of "82 Westheimer, Please have your Q card as you enter the bus. Thank you for riding Metro" Then it goes in Spanish and repeats again. I know I'm on the fucking 82, you don't have to repeat it 30 million times. Between that, the rattling, windows and the loud mouth thugs sitting in back, the noise is unbearable. The schedules are always fucked up and sometimes you'll wait 30 minutes for a supposed 10 min interval bus followed by 3 or 4 busses minutes apart. For the most part this bus gets you were you need to go but if time allows take the 25 instead.
