I wanted to take a moment to express my deep appreciation of the great service we received at your location on December 23rd. My husband and I were traveling from Houma, LA to Champaign, IL to spend the holidays with our family. This particular event was very special to us, since it was the first time in six years that all of our family would be together in one place for Christmas. We had spent the night at a local hotel on Dec 22nd, we rose the following day and after loading our luggage, placed the vehicle in drive, however the transmission would not engage. After turning off the vehicle, and restarting it, we were able to drive to your shop. Where we met Bob Rogers. My husband explained the problem we were experiencing, but Bob went right to work. He quickly ran a diagnostic and then took the vehicle for a test drive. The prognosis was pretty grim. The transmission needed to be replaced. But Bob assured us that if he could locate the necessary parts that he could make the repairs. You found a transmission for us, and put two men to begin the repairs. A short time later, you offered us the loan of your truck, in order for us to grab a bite to eat. We had arrived at 8:00 am on Dec 23rd, and left your shop at 2:00 pm that same day. We consider what you did for us a "Christmas miracle"! We have shared our story now with countless friends and family. Their response has mirrored our own. We cannot say thank you enough for the fantastic customer service, and immediate response to our travel needs. We did arrive in time to share Christmas Eve, enjoying the hugs and smiles of each member of our family! And best of all, you gifted us with a ham and a pecan kringle, just to make our day a little better, (they were delicious by the way). I just wanted you to know that your repair of our vehicle enabled us to complete our journey on time and make Christmas memories that will last a lifetime! My parents have had numerous transmissions rebuilt and replaced through this business, so they came highly recommended. I brought two vehicles to this business on the same day to be evaluated. Vehicle #1 was tested immediately, and needed work. Once Bob, the manager, sensed that I wanted to shop around to avoid paying over $3,000 for those repairs, his level of customer service drastically declined. Among many rude comments, he didn't want to give me much information regarding my vehicle saying, "Just let us fix it." Bob then sought to keep vehicle #2 for two extra weeks, lacking an evaluation; I guess it wasn't of importance to him. As it pertains to vehicle #2, I still don't know what is EXACTLY wrong as Bob stated, " we will need $350 to proceed with electrical testing to see what is wrong with it." After dealing with this company for nearly a month, I got fed up and decided to retrieve my vehicle from them. Upon retrieval, Bob says "Well, you won't get it today. I'm not moving all of the cars in front of it." I called the next day to retrieve my vehicle and he rudely answers, states that it's outside, and hangs up in my face. A few things are worth revamping as it pertains to customer service and Mr. Transmission: 1.) Most customers don't mind paying a fee for testing, however, Mr Transmission offers it free. If they feel like they're wasting time and/or money on free testing, CHARGE A FEE! It's rude and unprofessional to mistreat customers because they wish to shop around for better prices. I wouldn't have minded paying a fee for testing, and customers shouldn't be mistreated if and when they decide not to go further with my services there. 2.) A smile and some compassion goes a long way in the customer service world. When dealing with something as expensive as transmission repairs, people don't want to hear bad news as cut and dry as Bob delivers it. Have compassion. Give customers options. Be direct in what is exactly wrong with the vehicle and don't try to get your money elsewhere. Horrible experience..... read more

While traveling from Colorado to Florida recently in our camper van, we started having what we assumed was transmission problems. Having no experience in the Jackson area we asked Mrs. Google for a recommendation. I decided to go to Mr. Transmission. It was raining and we had no other place to stay other than our camper. I quickly realized that Mr. Transmissions lot and work bays were at full capacity so we settled in for an extended wait time. After talking to Bob, he told us where to park. And so we waited. Much to our surprise ( more like astonishment) Bob came out in the rain and said 'bring it in'. Bob immediately started to evaluate our problem. After about 15 minutes, Bob said all we needed was a tuneup! Stunned, by his report, we asked for a recommendation for a mechanic. An hour later, we were on our way!
