Let's begin with the good news: we have very little mowing to do anymore. The bad news: because half our yard is as dead and scorched as the Sahara Desert. We hired Mr Turf in 2019. We were overall disappointed with how little the grass was thickening up but they did get rid of the weeds so we continued to trust that their process would work. Fast forward to spring 2023. I called them to ask what was going on with our grass and was given the following possible reasons our grass had suddenly and mysteriously died in several huge areas (Please note they at no time initiated a consult or did anything other than keep billing us month after month when clearly there was a big problem.). 1. You have a drainage problem (which has apparently been dormant for the past 10 years and is just now deciding to act up). 2. You're not watering it correctly (we haven't changed a thing with the schedule). 3. You have black mold (aka black landscaping fabric that he saw in little pieces on the dirt and assumed was mold). 4. We can't control the weather. 5. You sprayed it with Round Up - that was the final straw for me. Why would we spray anything ourselves when we're paying YOU to manage that? We don't expect a golf course and are not over the top "our yard is our life" kind of people. But we do expect any company we hire to be proactive and show a minimal level of interest and responsibility when things aren't right. They refuse to take any ownership. There once was grass and now there isn't and they have no idea why except it must be our fault. read more

Mr. Turf does an OUTSTANDING job! They call ahead of time due to we have a dog to make sure she is put up. Every time they call their technicians are polite and friendly. We've been using them for almost 4 years. We had other competitors before treating our yard and always had some issue. With Mr. Turf we've rarely seen a weed in our yard and if we have he's out to take care of it in a timely manner. He's worth every penny! read more
