I wanted to get rid of the popcorn ceiling in one room for a renovation and messaged a few contractors. We replaced our upstairs tub and needed drywall repair following the install. I got a number of different quotes and no one was available within a week except for MRG Drywall. He came within a couple days and did a fantastic job. After we painted, the texture was so well done you can't tell any work was done. THEN a month later we developed a leak in the upstairs bathroom that ruined the drywall in the ceiling of our downstairs bathroom. AGAIN, after we got the plumbing repaired, MRG was on the job within a couple days. Without asking, he covered his shoes, laid down paper and covered everything in plastic. As part of that the walls had a heavy knockdown texture on it that would need to be blended together so that you could not tell where the new and old drywall was. Meliton is top-notch and takes great pride in his work! We called 3 other drywall repair specialists and he was the first to respond and come out to give us an estimate. He was also the cheapest, although his work did not reflect that. He did a beautiful job! Our life turned upside down when we first had a slab leak, then mold damage and then more mold damage in another part of the house and then re-piping the whole house. So over the span of about 2 months we used Meliton quite a bit! After our slab leak and mold damage repair, we had carpeting and paint lined up for the following week when we discovered mold and water damage in another room! I contacted Meliton and begged him to come out and he said "no problem, I'll be there tomorrow." He fixed the wall, staying into the evening to do so, just so I could keep the carpeting and paint contractors on schedule. He was always very neat, professional and a pleasure to be around. MRG came to my house for an estimate two weeks before I need to start the project and he provided an estimate of 8,800.00 and we accepted the price and gave MRG the job. 1 Day before the job was supposed to start MRG said he couldn't do the job anymore unless we paid him 16,600.00 and said he was raising the cost due to materials. He might be ok for small jobs but will try to scam and put you in a pickle for more money on bigger projects. read more
