Lift and Re-Lay project I obtained three bids for my lift and relay project and after reviewing the bids I did decide to go with Roof Masters to complete the project. The provided the best value and Gilbert, the project manager was able to provide me with an instance quote as he had already pulled the satellite imagery for my house. He was very professional and answered all my initial questions and even provided me with recommendations on underlayment to use, of which he had a sample to provide. I got a brand new roof, which looks beautiful underneath and out, and got gutters to protect this home from some foundational damage. I interviewed 8 roofing contractors before deciding on The Roof Masters. Rigo Oceguera was the project manager who came out to view my roof and provide the bid for repairs. He showed up exactly on time, explained their whole process to make sure I understood the scope of what needed to be done, and made sure to answer all of my questions, including some I thought of after he left. Their quote was on the lower end of the spectrum, but with an excellent warranty and references. We did end up with a $6k change-order for additional [hidden] damage that was not easily detectible during the initial inspection, but it was not surprising, as the roof had not been replace in well over 20 years and there were noticeable soft spots when walking on the roof due to rotten plywood under the shingles. Even with the change-order, the total cost was extremely reasonable, and came in under my projected budget. The work crew arrived promptly on day one and introduced themselves and apologized that it was going to be noisy/messy for the next few days. Every day, they cleaned up the trash very thoroughly and magnet rolled to make sure nothing was left behind. This was a big concern for me as I have two dogs that I don't want stepping on or eating debris. I was originally quoted 5-7 days for the entire project, and they finished in 4. The roof looks amazing. I would definitely recommend them, and if we decide to add solar in the future, we will go straight to them because the company has been phenomenal to work with. read more

The Roof masters showed up on time and did communicate mostly on the important items, and the important bits look good thus far. I will note that you do need the monitor the progress and what's used on your property. They will use a leaf blower. And blow a lot of the old roof and materials into your yard so that it's not in your walkway or driveway. There is however a lot of trash and bits and nails left behind that I found and aggregating for them to take away after I found that they were "complete". They do not update you when the team is done for the day or when they'll leave or when they arrive. They used and broke my hose, and when I brought it up to the PM, they replaced it. Do note, they never asked and the roofer team never was forthcoming that they broke it. I had to call it out and only then was it admitted that it was broken by them and the team. Roof Master just finish replacing our old beat up roof, where leak are starting to occur more often, specially in the front porch. I requested a quote and Chris came on time on the date I schedule. Chris gave me the full detail from removing the old roof, explain the different material to use for my budget, explain the warranty, & basically the scope of the job. This company required far more oversight than expected for a professional roofing job. We hired The Roof Masters to replace the felt underlayment and reset roof tiles. Pricing was competitive compared to other quotes we received, and they did eventually come back to correct installation issues. That said, the process required far more follow up than it should have. The primary issue we raised was that multiple tiles were not sitting level after the reset, which is an installation concern, not a structural one. These issues were initially dismissed as "structural," despite clear photo documentation showing the tiles were properly aligned before the work and became uneven after installation. Throughout the project, we treated the crew with respect and even provided breakfast burritos and cold drinks for the team. If we had not carefully documented the job with photos before, during, and after construction, the issues would not have been addressed. When a worker returned to make repairs, he did not know what battens are when I was explaining the correction we were looking for. He asked how it should be fixed because he wasn't sure how to correct it himself. Whether this will lead to long term issues remains to be seen. Cleanup was minimal. They appeared to rely mainly on a leaf blower, and we have continued to find nails and razor blades around the property. This is a serious safety concern, especially for children and pets. If you choose to work with this company, I strongly recommend hiring a third party roof inspector before releasing final payment to confirm the work was completed correctly. Edit: Reducing from 2 stars to 1 star. The solar division hounded me for a sale. even after I told them we are not moving forward, they proceeded to submit a permit for the project. I was very anxiety ridden, knowing I was going to need to replace my roof which was 30 years old desperately in need of replacement. I had invested time in attaining six different roofing bids. Rigo, who was the first person I encountered from the Roof Masters, came to the house and very calmly and practically laid out what would be best for my family's roofing needs. His demeanor was professional and friendly and very down to earth and I was impressed with him right from the beginning. First I did not use The Roof Masters for a new roof because of completely false information they and their GAF manufacturing rep gave me regarding the30% Federal Solar Tax Credit. If I had listened to them it would have cost me thousands of dollars to the IRS. After they inspected the roof and agreed the roof needed to be replaced the GAF rep brought up the subject of adding solar panels. They then claimed, with 100% certainty, that by adding some solar panels the entire cost (new roof and solar panels) would qualify for the 30% Tax Credit (see photo from Roof Masters). When I said it doesn't sense since the new roof does not generate solar energy, they again said they were correct and the decision was a no-brainer. So after they left I sent the information to my accounting firm for their review. They concluded RM and GAF were 100% wrong and only the cost of the solar panels and parts to install and connect qualify. If I had listened to them I would be on the hook for thousands of dollars with the IRS. The exact wording from the accounting firm was "From the information you provided, it seems that the roof replacement of $26,661 is just regular tiles and would not be available for the credit. Only the solar portion of $9,839 would be eligible for the credit. Therefore, it appears that the credit would be $2,952 rather than $10,950." In a follow up conversation with RM they continue to say they were correct and it was possible my accounting firm was wrong! When I asked them to add an addendum stating if the IRS disallowed any portion of the credit RM would reimburse me in full plus any penalty and interest that might be added. RM immediately said they would never include the addendum. So I contacted one of the other roofers who gave me a quote and explained the situation with RM and the tax credit and their reply was "the tax credit will only apply to the solar panels. It doesn't apply to the new roof." I also did a simple Google search, which you would have thought RM and GAF would have done, regarding the tax credit and came across a very good article. This article also completely refutes the claims by RM and GAF. Click the attached link to read the article. So if anyone for the rest of 2025 is considering using RM and they tell you by adding some solar panels the entire job qualifies for the tax credit talk with a tax advisor or do what I did and use another roofing company that is knowledgeable about the Federal Tax Credit.
