They keep the process service safe no matter who they are dealing with and they are smart when it comes to dealing with habitual offenders of non payment for rent. Steve Arturo is a no fail server. If need be he shows up in court to ensure you get a good return on the process service investment. Stinks dealing with people who take advantage of landlords or having to serve for anything. I never have a doubt who to call. Having worked for several attorneys in the past I know they tend to use this business as well because again he gets it done. Got someone hard to find ... Steve is the man!

However I recently needed some documents served and was told it could take up to 4 weeks for them to receive the documents from the court. After 5 weeks I called to follow up because they still hadn't been served. The man who answered sounded busy and eager to get off the phone. I was told not to worry, it can take up to 6 weeks and their computers were down for three days. ... Ok. After 7 weeks I called again, and again the man on the phone sounded like he didn't have time for silly callers interrupting his busy work. I was told it's fine, they had some computer problems yesterday and things are backed up at the court. It can take up to 8 weeks. (Still having computer problems?) Call back Monday. I feel like I'm getting the proverbial finger at this point... So two weeks later I first call the court to confirm that the papers were given to the process server. They were. Over two months ago. So I call AK Court Services (again) and just happened to get the supervisor who was covering for grumpy-pants. He was actually courteous and patient and helped me out. He found the documents, which were misfiled in their office, and had them served the very next day. Two and a half months after dropping off the paperwork. Three days before a deadline I had to meet. Kind of important paperwork, guys! So I really appreciated the supervisor helping me out but come on. Court papers are generally not something to lose track of when I've entrusted them in your care and I have important deadlines I have to meet. Not to mention I'm still expected to pay the normal fee for your services. The icing on the cake was when I called today and was "greeted" once again by the "too-busy-for-your-phone-call" guy with a simple question and was once again given that proverbial finger. I wish I could continue using their services for the remainder of this court case, so I don't have to find another process server with whom I have no experience, but... Time to pull out the yellow pages again.

While I fulfilled all my obligations -- including keeping a complete record of services provided -- PMBC failed to do their part. Between January and the end of our relationship in April 2025, PMBC began working with Alaska Billing, which appeared to manage most/some of the communication and account activities during that time. This transition further caused delays, confusion, and a lack of accountability. I provided proper notice of termination in accordance with the agreement. Despite this, PMBC attempted to charge a lump-sum termination fee for 'outstanding services', which was outside our contract. I made multiple good-faith efforts to resolve the issue directly with PMBC and ABS, but received no response in any format. Without warning, the matter was turned over to collections in October 2025. Only after a formal dispute did the collections agency acknowledge the termination fee was invalid and remove it. I paid a late fee -- which felt more like a ransom -- just to be done with the company. I do not recommend this company or Alaska Billing Services for any providers seeking transparency, professionalism, or contractually sound practices.

Once Alaska took over my accounts, and in the span of only a couple of months (February to April), they made numerous serious mistakes that cost me time, money and clients. These mistakes included, but were not limited to, failing to bill an entire month of services for my every service I provided that month (not a single claim was filed for more than four weeks), using one of my clients medical insurance information to file claims for a different client of another unrelated provider (resulting in an insurance fraud claim that my client was left to unravel on her own - Alaska never alerted me or offered apology or assistance to my client), failing to collect a single co-pay or co-insurance for three months while billing me as though they had collected those funds, sending my clients to a payment portal where payments were directed to another medical provider, and making unauthorized threatening phone calls to clients that resulted in the clients terminating services. Throughout the nightmarish three months that Alaska handled my account, there was no transparency or accountability. I do not believe the staff is to blame, as they all seem to be very young, inexperienced, and have what appears to be very little training. The owner, Jarred, never once attempted to interact with me despite the very serious negligence I experienced. Please avoid this company at all costs.

I've always had a pretty good experience there, customer service being what's lacking most, in my opinion, but not so poor that it's not worth shopping there. They have most things a restaurant would have in the front or back of the house and so many things that are useful in the home as well, especially if you smoke meats, process fish & game, entertain or just love to be in the kitchen. By no means are you going to have the Williams Sonoma shopping experience, but if you need a Cambro for brining, fermenting or resting meat, this is a great place to find it. Need an extra large quality cutting board for processing your fish & game, yep, they have that too. Need some knives to hold up to the wear and tear... tongs or spatulas for the grill... yep! What about some of those red or other colored baskets that you find in front of you filled with fish & chips at a restaurant? They're fabulous to have in the camper with a box of Buffalo check paper that is easily thrown in the camp fire. Squeeze bottles for condiments, simple oil & vinegar sets, chafing dishes, sterno, bulk simple silverware or dish ware for parties; this is the place to go for it. Larger than normal oven pans, cookie sheets or sheet pans! Yep... I can vouch for that since my 18-22lb spatchcocked turkeys are cooked on one that I purchased there a couple years ago. All of these things mentioned are used in our home... on the patio... in the camper! There really are a lot of options that I don't think the non-restaurant career person would necessarily realize they can get for their house and/or food prep & serving needs!
