Pre-Shoot Assessment Issues: A significant mismatch between the pre-shoot assessment's outcomes and the actual session led to a waste of time and reduced session duration. It appears the assessment wasn't effectively applied in preparation. The expected support from this assessment influenced the decision to choose your services, and its underutilization is disappointing. Wardrobe Description Mismatch and Session Impact: The wardrobe is described by your website as a "complete wardrobe of soft textures and colors to perfectly complement your figure and bring out that beautiful baby bump." However, it sounds like the wardrobe options were all more revealing than expected, this turned into a prolonged discussion during the session, then a need to relocate the entire session. This consumed valuable session time and devalued the 'complimentary wardrobe and styling' promise that was a deciding factor in choosing your services. Unexpected Tax Charge on Gift Package: The additional tax charge at the session's end was unexpected, feels like poor customer service, and a grey area for business practices. As the session was intended to be a complete gift, any ancillary costs should have been communicated to me and settled beforehand to ensure a frictionless experience. Additionally, the quality of communication and timeline for this time-sensitive maternity shoot was a concern. Oct. 24 - online Book Now inquiry form submitted Oct. 25 - text message sent asking to be invoiced for the package, Tilly responds with email address Oct. 25 - email sent, asking to be invoiced for the $580 package and requesting "any resources to help them prepare for the photo shoot." - support request never acknowledged Oct. 27 - no response from either email request was received, a follow-up email sent from an alternate email account Oct. 28 - Tilly responds to ask what the gift card should say. I responded to advise and ask "please also provide booking info and anything that would set them up for success in the photoshoot (shoot list, best practices, etc)" - support request never acknowledged and booking link not provided Oct. 31 - invoice sent and paid; email sent to TIlly advising invoice is paid and ask "Do you mind please sharing your availability and wardrobe info" - support request never acknowledged Nov. 1 - Tilly responds, directing my family to the homepage of her website, which does not address the multiple support requests or help facilitate the booking. Not only did Charlie go above and beyond (he packed up his entire studio and drove 45 minutes to my location at the last minute because of an error that I made in my scheduling for the day), but he was incredibly kind and professional, which put me at ease. I was not looking forward to having my picture taken because of how self conscious I feel, but Charlie was great, and I actually really like the way the photos turned out. During the photo shoot, he was diligent about making sure everything looked good (like a stray piece of hair, or a wrinkle in my shirt). And he also did some small but important touch ups during editing (like whitening my teeth a little and smoothing some of my eye wrinkles- my husband has noticeably uneven eyes when he smiles, and Charlie was able to make them look more symmetrical- just small things that make a big difference). It's also a helpful bonus that he gives his clients several file sizes for their picture so I could quickly plug them in to the different social media/marketing platforms I am using for my business.
