Polly cakes came through and even helped me wrap the cake for my surprise out of town travel (with the cake) When we arrived to our destination the cake was still fresh and beautiful and tasted amazing! It was one of those smell so good, so you gotta eat in the car and it melts in your mouth type of deals. They shouldn't have given me a fork... they rarely make it home. My office is in Pooler, the outlets are in Pooler, but there's not a lot of good food or tasty treats in Pooler, at least not to me. I was working one day and in the mood for a little something sweet. I'm not a fan of Byrd's cookies, so I set out to find a bakery or something. There are a lot of options in Savannah, but not so much in Pooler. Ms. Polly's came up on a search. I've tried to go here before, but it was closed. It's right off of Pooler Pkwy, which is the main street in Pooler. It's in a small retail strip, with plenty of parking. It's not a traditional bakery, with a lot of options. If my memory serves me right, there were 4 different kind of cupcakes. Red velvet, strawberry, key lime and vanilla. Those were the only options. I come from a family of bakers, so I'm very particular about cake. I almost left because I always worry that cakes will be over baked and I will be wasting my money, but I went ahead and purchased the red velvet. I was pleasantly surprised that my cupcakes were not dry, they had a pretty good flavor and they weren't over cocoa-ish. My only complaints would be, I had to buy 3 cupcakes instead of being able to purchase just 1. And also, I wish there was more variety than just cupcakes or just 4 flavors. But beggars can't be choosers and I was happy with my cupcakes overall! Might give them a try on another cheat day! read more

The cupcakes were perfectly constructed with the color matching the flavor. I was able to order a box with 4 included( strawberry/lemon/vanilla/chocolate). The place was cute and pleasant right in a busy little storefront. I was expecting to be filled with sweet smells and more of a variety but that was not the case . I would suggest a variety of items to choose from and maybe a signature cupcake to help enhance the crowd! read more

We got a red velvet cake. The cake itself is good but as you can see in the photo....it's leaning pretty bad. For this price you would think the cake would at least be assembled correctly. The taste was good, although a little on the sweet side but that is subjective when it comes to deserts. read more

My daughter got a red velvet/cream cheese cake on her birthday. The red velvet part of the cake was fine, but the cream cheese had a rancid sour taste. She called to inform them of the cake tasting badly only to greeted by, Ms Polly's appalling attitude with a major chip on her shoulder. I get it nobody likes to being told they didn't quite make the mark. However when a unhappy customer speaks to about product or service to which they have paid. You should have an open mind. The first thing to fly out your mouth should not be the cake was made correct and that it's not her fault that she doesn't like the way it taste she made the cake herself. Well that unfortunate that perhaps everyone is't a fan of your skills. I really like Sisters of the New South red velvet cake, but since I was closer to Pooler, then I decided to try Ms. Polly's. The red velvet cake was just being taken out of the fridge to cut slices, but no pecan was on either of the slices. Glad we were able to get them cold, and they were delicious! The strawberry cake in the display case was slightly dry and the icing was melted, but I think it might of been because it was extremely hot in the building! The customer service was good, but it was $24+change for 5 slices of cake! Wonder how much a whole cake cost??? I would visit again, but only if I'm craving red velvet cake, and not near sisters... Plus cut me a piece from the fridge also! read more

We had mixed up the dates when I ordered the cake. Not only did they get me the cake a day before but they stuck to the design and for the first time everyone ate the whole cake. Very moist and delicious. read more

I asked for butter cream because we don't like fondant or gum paste... however there were some imperfections at the top but the cake is very good and moist. read more

My goodness! I've tried the pound cake, red v, key lime, carrot, and several more. I can't even decide on a favorite because they are are excellent tasting cakes just like grandma use to make. The red velvet cake had a good flavor to it, but the cake and icing was extremely dry. Idk if it was because it was not wrapped, but I just expected it to be a little moist. Also, we went in just looking at all it had to offer and there were not many flavor cupcakes or cakes to choose from. I may try another location, but I was not impressed at Tanger Outlets. read more
