Rosy is a Hidden Gem in Fort Worth!…read more Rosy came highly recommended through a DFW wedding group I'm part of, so I decided to give her a try and I'm so glad I did! Even during peak season, she was able to fit me in within a week and was accommodating enough to offer a Friday afternoon appointment (major bonus points!). From the moment I walked into her shop, Rosy created such a warm, welcoming environment. She was respectful, professional, and made sure I felt completely comfortable throughout the entire appointment, always explaining what she was doing before she did it. I initially came in just to for my rehearsal dinner outfit, Rosy is creating a skirt from my mother's wedding dress. I brought in some inspiration photos, and she immediately started pinning and checking in with me to ensure it matched what I had in mind. I had considered shortening the skirt, but Rosy recommended keeping the length and she was absolutely right. I'm thrilled with how it's turning out and can't wait to see the finished look. Though not a part of my original appointment request, I brought in my reception dress to see if I could have the straps shortened. Rosy accomodated my extra dress and her keen eye noticed that shortening the straps wasn't going to fix the issue and I really needed to take in the top of the dress (with boning), waist, hips, and legs. Her thoughtful suggestions turned it into a complete transformation. She made gentle, expert recommendations, never being pushy and always prioritized my vision and comfort. I didn't even realize the dress needed to be taken in until she pinned it, and it instantly fit like a glove. She even noticed a minor issue with the zipper clasp and offered to fix it as well. As she worked, Rosy shared a bit about her background: over 30 years of experience in alterations, custom bridal and quinceañera dress design AND creation, and even handcrafted corsets. Had I known sooner, I would've absolutely asked her to make a corset for me! What truly sets Rosy apart is not just her incredible skill, but the genuine care she shows for her clients. She made me feel completely at ease throughout the process and handled a very difficult situation with remarkable grace and professionalism. While I was in my appointment, another customer came in, demanding immediate service. Despite Rosy kindly explaining that she was in the middle of a consultation (with only 10 minutes left), the customer became frustrated, even making an offensive and completely inaccurate comment accusing Rosy of racial bias. Through it all, Rosy remained calm, respectful, and unwaveringly professional. It was clear the situation shook her, but she never let it affect the care and attention she was giving to her work. Rosy didn't owe me any apologies, but she still offered them and that says everything about her character. She truly takes pride in her work and her relationships with clients. I'll be bringing my wedding dress to Rosy for alterations, as well as every pair of pants and tops I've been putting off altering for far too long because I finally found someone who I trust! And the best part? Her prices and turnaround times can't be beat. Rosy is an absolute treasure in Fort Worth, and I couldn't recommend her more highly!
