I sure never thought I would be giving a review to a government agency, much less a very, VERY…read morepositive one, but Jennifer knocked my socks off today at the Social Security administration! The website has been down today and wasn't displaying information correctly when I was able to get in. So I just decided to drop in and see if I could make an appointment to go through things with them. I needed to change my direct deposit. I needed to update my phone number & I needed to verify that a past employer had failed to report a significant amount of earnings which is impacting my monthly payment. Building is tucked away behind Dollar tree and Morgan's Stanley on Central directly across from the Country Inn. There's plenty of parking and when I entered at a quarter after 12 I really didn't think anybody would even be there, in fact, I was surprised the door was unlocked. The guard is about as friendly as a rattlesnake tho, so beware. Before I could even ask him anything he barked "USE THE KIOSK!" and pointed in the general direction of a small kiosk in front of a bay of service windows. I just wanted to make an appointment so I tried the kiosk and it gave me an appointment - immediately. As in: you're up next after next person. I had only been waiting for about six minutes when they called my number and I met Jennifer at E8. This woman acted surprised when I told her how shocked I was I was actually getting Service today. So pleasant, professional and soft spoken, she was able to change my direct deposit and update my information and give me an appointment for a call to verify benefits next week via telephone. Don't even have to drive back into town. Unfortunately, her supervisor wasn't there so they didn't get to tell them what a wonderful asset Jennifer is. She was exceptionally proficient at accessing records, and because I did not expect to be speaking with anybody today, I was pretty UNprepared. She waited patiently while I got through the mess of paperwork I had, and was finally able to provide her with the correct information. All in all, it was the most wonderful visit to the government office I've ever had. Thank you, Jennifer, I hope you have the day you deserve, which is a wonderful one!

By far, my visit was one of the best experiences ever with a government agency. Also, the phone agent who set-up my appointment was equally as helpful. Efficient, friendly, and genuinely wanting to help people get their passports so they can travel. They will want to see evidence that you are indeed travelling withing 2 weeks. Also, complete your forms in advance, and make sure your passport photo is compliant. Lots of people had to have their re-taken on site. My appointment was at 11am. I arrived at 10 and took a number and was seen at 10.30. They check all of your paperwork and then call you back to make sure all details are correct. By 11.30 I was given a receipt and told to come back at 2pm to receive my passport. The passport was ready by 2.50pm (I was asked to sign and date the receipt after checking all details on the new passport) and I was able to drive the 4.5 hours home same day. Very happy! Waiting area is small, with few seats and no amenities (bathrooms are in portacabins outside). I will take efficient service over fancy facilities any day though! Nothing except cell phones and paperwork allowed inside and security is tight. Have your appointment number ready when you buzz the door to get in. There is also a scanner. Be friendly and patient and they will get to you. They really are pulling out all the stops to get you your passport. Great job Arkansas Passport Center Staff!
