Nice gym that seems to be a combined community center and ymca. Would be nice if they had more swimming lanes.

I was told by my doctor that Pilates would be a good activity to add to my routine. After a few introductory sessions on a reformer, I went looking for a good Pilates instructor and discovered Julianne Scoles.  My lucky day! I was immediately taken with her style and demeanor.  Typical of "older" students, like myself, I needed someone with  patience, who didn't mind having to repeat instructions. When Covid arrived, I bought a reformer and Julianne adapted to my situation at home quite easily using Zoom.    I'm going on 2+ years at Morgan Hill Pilates and I'm beyond happy to have found such a good fit!"

Besides a concussion, i had multiple injuries to my spine and the accident brought on bursitis, fatigue and depression. I was desperate. Depressed and I felt like a blob. For my birthday, my sister bought me a 1 month package for Pilates. She swore it changed her life and it would change mine. My first class was with Julianne and I'm not going to lie i was a thinking "really! How is this a work out, I'm not even swearing and how wil it help!" 20 minutes into the class i was changed. Not only does Pilates help with flexibility, strength conditioning but it's also physical therapy for my body. Julianne and and Angela are so incredibly knowledgeable that i Look forward to telling them about aches and pains because i know they'll make me feel better. I've also grown 1/4 inch back in my height...Pilates corrects posture! I also have my athletic daughter taking class too. She plays field hockey and track and complains of chronic hip issues. In just a month she's corrected all her bad habits and learned the proper exercises to stretch her muscles out. Highly recommend this studio. Great teachers and people.

Super close to my house to it's easy to get to. Just did the Murph with them yesterday and it was awesome seeing the hospitality and consultant workout explanations/ variety. You hear the stereotype…read moreabout Crossfit - the grunting, banging of the weights, flipping of the huge tires etc... but my first experience at a Crossfit gym, this one in particular, was a lot better than I expected. Abe was very welcoming. He had us perform several exercises with no weights so he could make sure our form was correct for the workouts we were doing that day.0 There were 2 phases of the workout. First we started with several rounds of light weight excersices and stretching. This was for about 15 minutes or so. The next phase was timed (about 40 minutes) and consisted of a circuit - several strength exercises with weights and some that were more cardio focused. The timed portion really gets your competitive nature flowing and you want to push yourself. I was gassed afterwards. During all the workouts Abe was always checking in to make sure everything was good and also providing encouragement. And it just wasn't Abe, all the other members there (about 10 or so during the time I went) were all very friendly and eager to answer questions. I had such a good experience I came back 2 days later for another round - albeit sore from the previous workout but ready for more. If you live or commute around Morgan Hill and are looking to try a new workout routine or interested in trying Crossfit I would definitely recommend stopping by and speaking with Abe! You can't go wrong.

When I started, I was very nervous to get back into workout sessions and indoor activities given Covid. I appreciate the one on one sessions that have free airflow. I was also looking for restorative sessions to help me get active again after having my son. I truly appreciated that she took the time to send and review an intake / reflection form that covers goals and helps her get to know how she can best support you. Emily listens to what you want to work on and builds a customized plan to help you accomplish your goals. To help build on our weekly sessions she provides "homework" or quick at home workout to help continue the progress between sessions. Emily is fun to work with, passionate about her work, and wants the best for every client she works with. I would highly recommend working with her.
