I was searching for a co-op for my 4 year old son after some Covid limitations had lifted. My daughter was in a different co-op but it closed down at the beginning of the pandemic and unfortunately never opened back up. I wanted to find a co-op because I love the fact that I can ease my child into learning. You get to be a part of the class and get to know the kids, families and the fabulous teacher Amy! There was actual information about how they are CONTINUING to keep our kids safe and masking. It's so helpful for keeping those little fingers out of noses and mouths I love that the school is so inclusive and has so much information available on their site. Teacher Amy is so kind and gentle with the kids, you can tell it's her passion to teach kids! She rotates the activities for the kids to do so that there little minds are constantly inspired. I am so so thankful to have found the school. My son can't WAIT to go to school and see his friends, it brings such a beautiful sense of normalcy that I cannot express enough how big of a difference it makes for our family! If you're looking for a school for a few days a week to help prepare your little one and socialize them and for countless other reasons too I highly HIGHLY recommend Mt tabor preschool!! read more

It is with bittersweet joy that we are soon to be graduates of Mt Tabor Preschool! My daughter is a stage 5 clinger and had a very difficult transition to preschool after being at home with me full-time. While other schools treated this as a problem to be quickly solved with many tears and quick drop offs, Teacher Amy had a different approach - work with the child on their time table, meet them where they are at. I spent months sitting and staying in the classroom until my kiddo was comfortable and now she has absolutely no issues and adores school! The space is lovely and bright, the other parents are kind and supportive and form a loving community, and my daughter is more than prepared for kindergarten, already reading and writing! The play-based philosophy and emphasis on building personal and interpersonal skills was just perfect for us and I wish I had more kids to sent to MTP! read more

We are so thankful that we chose Mt. Tabor Preschool Co-op for our family. Our son had a difficult time transitioning from staying home with mommy to playing in a classroom setting. MTP has an open door policy, which allowed me to be present while our boy was adjusting. It did not take him long, and now he LOVES school! Teacher Amy is amazing and seems to know how each child works...She is the toddler whisperer. Since we are a coop, every parent cares about the school and the kids in it. We have found a wonderful sense of community and support at MTP. The room very spacious with an open concept. There is an outdoor playground as well as a big room for indoor play on stormy days. We have gone to Mt Tabor Preschool for the last 4 years, first with our daughter and now with our son. It has been the best experience and both our children really thrived there with Teacher Amy. She is always there to help you as your child experience school for the first time. She really helped me develop strategies to work with my son on recognizing his feelings.and expressing them in words (instead of, you know, shoving people). I really loved the community here and am going to be sad not to spend my mornings here anymore. read more

Love, love, love Mt Tabor Preschool! We searched all over for the perfect preschool for our daughter. Having just finished our first year here, we couldn't be happier. The space is big, brightly lit, and filled with tons of different activities for kiddos. Teacher Amy does an AMAZING job of rotating activities and crafts to keep things interesting for the kids and offer educational opportunities. There's also an outdoor play area which gets visited daily, and a big indoor play space for super rainy days. Did I mention Teacher Amy is amazing? She seems to have an instant connection with kids, even when she's meeting them for the first time. Our daughter LOVES her and keeps asking to have her over for sleepovers. :) She's sweet, smart, funny, and infinitely patient. The community is also incredible. It's definitely a hands on co-op, and we volunteer monthly in the class to help out. There are also monthly meetings that are well run and interesting (shocker!). Its definitely not a drop-off at the door school, but the benefit is that you get to meet a bunch of amazing families and their kids. While other options have come up for preschools that are a little cheaper, we get so much out of the community we just couldn't imagine being at a better place. 6 stars! read more

Absolutely love MTP!! The community is awesome and teacher Amy is absolutely wonderful with the kids. This school draws in such an amazing group of people. I'm there again for my second child and i didn't even consider another school because we were so happy with our experience for my daughter. My son is the polar opposite of my daughter but has been thriving in this community just as much as she did. It's been wonderful for my quieter, artistic daughter who loves to read and craft, as well as my loud, very active, son who loves to build and play with cars and trucks. Co op preschools are the best - you become a member of the community and gain so many amazing friendships for both you and your kids. read more

As a working mom I have a lot of 'mom guilt' to try and do it all - work, home, kids activities. By joining Mt Tabor and being a part of a co-op preschool I have been able to partake in my son's early learning and see him in action in the classroom (something that sometimes you don't get at a drop and go day care). I get to parent help in the classroom which lets me help out while he is at school but also lets me see him interact with new friends. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Mt Tabor Preschool. Teacher Amy has been attentive and caring towards our son, the space the preschool is located in cozy, clean, organized and colorful and the families we have come to known while our son has been there are great friends. We're new in town and my first order of business was to find my 3 yr old a preschool. The co op model isn't for everyone, but its a great way to be involved, know exactly what kinds of experiences you child is having during the day, and feel great about being apart of such a close knit community. From the time we signed up we have felt at home, and have found great friendships and support from other families. In a co-op, you get so much more than just a few hours of free time in the morning.
