I honestly don't know what kind of person, or what my life would be like today If I'd never met senior pastor, Daniel Wine. This church has been so blessed to have him preaching the Loving Word of God for over 20 years now! The knowledgeable pastors along with the faithful congregation are the kindest, most God-loving people I've ever been blessed to know. It's like one big happy family! This awesome church has numerous times & ways to learn & meditate on the Word. There are multiple Bible Study classes on just about every day of the week covering a variety of topics. There are many activities and fundraisers to participate in throughout the year, including missionary work & charities. On Thursday evenings there's an exercise class in the gym where you can strengthen your muscles along with your faith! Some of the other activities include Superbowl parties, chili cook-offs, silent auctions, dinners, & an annual (Easter) presentation of the play, The Victor, which is magnificent! The Church of the Nazarene also cares for & helps the less fortunate every chance & opportunity they get. Participating in blood drives, food banks, donation of money & clothes, & not only donating money for missionary work, but also going on 2 missionary field trips a year, donating their time & hard work in underdeveloped nations & making disciples everywhere they go! I am so very blessed & I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for allowing me to be part of such an awesome church. According to its faith statements It remains conservative Baptist/revivalist in theology and social teaching, which is essentially unchanged. My wife and I attended it for nostalgic reasons several years ago and found it has layered on top of this a typical modern American Evangelical multi-campus megachurch ethos. Predictably, everything in its "liturgy" is loud, thin, and modern, especially the music (the congregation used to use a hymnal and sing in four-part harmony). It needs to get with the universal program of white churches, though, and import more smiling people of color to make it visibly Christian.

If you go here expecting all the hoopla and traditions of a Catholic church, you won't find it. If you go expecting a simple service with a good group of people, you will be more than satisfied. This is a nice simple Catholic church. 4 stars. (i took a star off because they have no children's service - they expect kids to sit in the pews with their parents, which has its good and bad aspects i suppose, but still).
