So I was shocked by the treatment I received on the day of my appointment. On October 4th, I booked my appointment via the link on their website and received a confirmation that same day. I then emailed them to make sure that I had all my paperwork I needed as I knew I was getting very close to the end of the extension I had filed back in April. I then received an emailed response from Sarah Cherry, saying that it sounded like I was well prepared for our appointment. During the week, while on my way to work, I made a point of driving past her office in Gainesville to make sure I knew exactly where it was, The Appointment was set for October 10th at 10:30 AM. I did not hear back from her again. On Saturday, I arrived at approximately 10:10 AM. I did not see any other cars in the lot and the inside appeared dark. I thought maybe she parks behind the building and was not concerned. At 10:13 AM, I dialed the number on the front of the office to find out, since I was early, would she like me to wait in my vehicle or come inside early. When she answered the phone she sounded a little groggy. I introduced myself and stated "I am here for my 10:30 appointment with you". She sounded very confused, asked for my name again and then stated that since she had "no way" to confirm my appointment (which had already been confirmed twice via email) she had cancelled my appointment yesterday! Claimed since she did not have my phone number, even though her appointment form on her website makes you put one in or it does not allow you to go to the next question, so she claimed she had "no way" to reach me to tell me. I protested and stated that her response did not make any sense as she confirmed and communicated with me twice via email. She says she has people schedule with her and then not show up so she cancelled me. Again, I repeated that she could have reached out to me via email if she was concerned. I had just driven 30 minutes from Melrose, this was my only day off before the 15th and I needed to get my return done that day. I reminded her that it was not likely that I could find someone else to take me that day and that I had made my appointment with her a week in advance. I After a little back and forth she agreed to get ready and drive over to meet me. I stated that I had a few errands I could run and we would meet at her office at 11:30 AM, 1 hour and 10 minutes from the time it was then. I returned to her office at 11:25 AM and she was still not there. I waited until 11:40 AM and she still had not arrived and not bothered to call me to tell me was delayed. I then waited about another 5 minutes while calling the nearest H&R office, as they were the only ones that I knew take walk ins. I was not completely confident in their abilities as I know it's the luck of the drawer there as to who does your taxes but I was becoming desperate. They told me to come right over. It was not 11:45 AM and I still had not heard from Sarah and she had not arrived so I left. I had an unknown number call my phone about an hour later, I do not know if it was her trying to reach me at that late time as no message was left for me. I will NEVER even consider using her service. At the very least, if that was her trying to reach me so much later, I feel that professionally, there should have at least been an apology left. NOTHING! My time was wasted, my gas was wasted and I did not need the added stress while trying to get my taxes filed.
